I think we'd sack him to be honest - or rather, Kenwright would ask for him to agree to a mutual termination. It'd be at the point where you couldn't afford not to. The clubs dignity would be at stake if we lost to QPR, and I don't think Martinez would be able to justify limping on because of his contract.

Not only that, most contracts have clauses for poor performance. It depends where that line is for Martinez in his contract. For all we know, being under 40 points after 30 games could be grounds for dismissal under his new deal, who knows.

Exactly - If there isn't that clause in his contract then Bill really is incompetent.

However of course he would limp on. He won't get another job like Everton. What has he personally got to gain from quitting.

It's the fact he seem delusional that has ultimately meant I would get rid.

There's a fine line between belief and delusion and once you cross it you become a laughing stock.
