But after the Newcastle game it was said he had!
The fans and players were behind the change.
He is so lost its sad to see.
Last night was his time to show the fans he could navigate us through a tough game with the right tactics and he blew it.
Last night we saw the real martinez

He has learnt nothing all season, he is like a `rabbit in headlights` on the touchline, no plan b, no overall idea. No point changing him now, creates instability, best to write this season off and change manager at the end of the season. Sticking with him next season will be disasterous, more poor signings combined with players leaving and an impending sense of doom about the place. He is a dead man walking it is a matter of when he goes not if

6-4 in a tie isn't exactly humiliating is it? We hit the post twice and could have done a lot better.

Still, it's best to exaggerate the situation for better effect I suppose.
we were second best all over that pitch last night, regardless of an aggregate scoreline

I'd say the QPR game is pretty well his most important now as EVERTON manager.

Nah. We've had a top 4 place, a wembly semi final and a european quarter final as prizes to play for (we lost all 3 but we got within a game of playing for them.)

Playing for a 7 point gap from relegation rather than a 4 point one ain't in the same league.

He said his most important. For Martinez personally.

Just imagine he loses to QPR... he'd be advised to stay in London and never return to Merseyside really.

This is very true.

And but for Alcaraz's five minutes of madness we would probably have went through.

Roberto Martinez :Everton defence not to blame after watching his team concede five goals in their Europa League defeat by Dynamo Kiev

You could say all the goals were a result of poor defending and he refuses to accept this, get rid now sick of his bulls*** interviews/comments

Roberto Martinez makes bold promise: 'I will deliver Champions League football at Everton'
More like Championship football

Nah, at this point you either give him another season as a point of principle or you don't.

Nothing that will happen this year will change most supporter's mind. The season's over. We'll scrape to safety, win nothing, not be in europe, have a firesale in the summer and try to rebuild for next year.

Lets see what happens on Sunday, if he manages to pick the team up from last nights defeat he deserves at least the summer.

When rom scored we should have kept it tight till half time and then looked at what was needed.
The players just ran round like headless chickens with no direction from the manager.
How many times were coleman and baines left on their own against 2 players and still nothing was done.
I don't know what the clown said to naismith and atsu but they were just running round with not a care in the world.

If he loses on Sunday he will be sacked and rightly so and that's the first time I think you could honestly say that.

So yea I think it is his most important as Everton manager.

We conceded another two after that and went 5-1 down...

And without the five minutes of Alcarazism the other two goals would have only made it 3-1.

We scored another ergo it would have been 4-4 on aggregate and the away goals would have seen us through.

Of course, things might have panned out differently but that is the maths of the situation, stripped of the Alcaraz factor.

We are comfortably back in the game at 1-1 and then a latter day Glen Keeley stuffs us up.

Completely.
