The time bell is ringing for Bobby I think - this season has been an unmitigated disaster performance wise coupled with his continuing arrogance in changing his footballing approach.
Anyone who thinks we are safe from relegation just because we had a flattering win against the barcodes is misguided.
If tonight wasn't QPR on Sunday will be his Waterloo.
After that god knows.....

Roberto has to go...he lost 6-4 in Europe and didnt make the QF.

LOL.

Thank **** this hanging jury has absolutely no say in any decision about Everton.

Do you really mean what you say, or just on the wind up. I can not believe any passionate EFC supporter would come out with the stuff you come out with,,,you got no passion in you, man

Its the players and the tactics mate.
He should have taken barry off and put gibson on at half time.
How can you cocede 5 goals with 2 defensive midfielders playing?

Exactly. Barry is clearly done...yet for all his "experience" he cannot organize the midfield.

It was too gunho when a park the bus or defensive approach was needed. And the most frustrating thing is....we can play that way, as we did against the RS and Chelsea.

It's all over the shop. Last season showed what the team can do. This season showed at points the team can play differently and defend ....the problem is that it's too little and too late.

Imagine if he brings Cleverly in this summer to replace Barry

LOL
Clevery has been great under Sherwood. Unfortunately there's no way Martinez will replace Barry. Even in the game tonight where he was invisible he didn't sub him.

In fact I don't think he has dropped or subbed him since he came to the club which is another reason why it's time to say goodbye Bobby.

For years I've bemoaned Everton's lack of winning mentality.

If the fans readily accept our current level of performance, with the side, we don't deserve to win a thing. How many years is it now?
13th August 1995.

Just less than four months if you accept the Charity Shield. Back then I genuinely thought we may have turned the corner... unfortunately not so.

72 points last season? He is being hounded out 8 months later.

It's a results business mate and quite simply we aren't getting many in our favour. Might sound a bit of a cop out but from the way we have defended this year I'm firmly behind the idea that last season we still had Moyes' foundation's in place at the back.

Imagine starting Atsu off the back of his ANC performance and ten mins against 10 man newcastle.

mayhem

Well, given he was our only available winger I'm not sure it was that bad a decision. Of all the things to criticise Martinez for tonight (and there are LOADS), this one seems a little unnecessary.

Look at the league table.

Look at the subs tonight and throughout the season.

Look at Alcaraz actually completing the game tonight.

Look at the absolutely awful run of results which was utterly unimaginable in August.

Then come back and tell me exactly why Martinez shouldn't be sacked. Because you aren't even giving a counter-argument anymore - you're just laughing it off.

The good will from last season is completely gone, whereas you're hanging your hat on Kenwright not having the guts to sack him because you want to be right on the internet.

Davek has never given a counter argument.

He just irrationally wants to keep a manager who has taken our best squad in years to its worst season in years.

Martinez stamped his mark on the team over the past 18 months and its not attractive

You're not an objective voice, tbf.

There is no argument that'll persuade you because your mind has been made up.

My minds ready to be changed - got nothing against Martinez whatsoever, never have. Sang his praises massively last year. You're dismissing me as you have no counter-argument.

Instead of doing that, come up with a productive argument as to why Martinez deserves to be Everton manager.

Rightfully so too, its unacceptable. I don't care what he achieved last season - i'm not saying he should be sacked, but the entire season is a write off.

It's disappointing, but we know what he is capable of. 72 points. Better than Moyes ever achieved. A man like that needs more than 8 months when all is not well.

can't see Kenwright sacking him unless we go down

No way we going down. But I am worried for RM now. It isnt that we lost. That happens. Its the comical defending. That isnt just Alcarez, (who was woeful), it is the whole team.

Seemed clueless at times, but then again, could have scored another 4 goals.

72 points last season? He is being hounded out 8 months later.

8 months of abject failure where he has refused to make changes

It'd be different if he was mixing stuff up to try and find a solution, but he isn't

He's doing the same things every week, either because he's too tactically weak to think of an alternate or too stubborn to change his "philosophy"

It worked last season, but since then teams have sussed us out and he's failed to adapt

He richly deserves every ounce of criticism

That doesn't mean he should go, but it does mean he should reassess his tactical approach

Too many under performing for me esk.

His setup and style isn't complimenting the players he has and the amount of unforced errors is a symptom of the players not being right for his playing style.

We needed evolution from Moyes. Not revolution.
Best post I have seen....and I ain't sucking up.

Did I say 'OK'?

It'll have the kneejerkers running in the opposite direction, that's for sure.

The posters on this forum cant take a consistent line on Martinez AT ALL.

It's frightening. Grown men acting like this.

Just ride out a bad season and do it with some dignity FFS.

Not too much to ask I dont think.
Do you honestly believe that he will get better? Its not knee jerk he has been found out as a fraud so why keep him charge ? Everton fans are no different than any other clubs fans and more tolerant than most but enough is enough we wont go down this year but he will take us down next season if he is left in charge so lets get someone in who can move us forward again, his appointment was a mistake some times you have start again.
