We'll beat QPR. A pub side could beat QPR - all you've got to do is turn up and run a bit.

But that's it though mate, when we lost at Hull they were on absolutely pathetic form. We got laughed around the park by an understrength Stoke.

We aren't a huge club like we used to be, we need to tolerate seasons like this unfortunately.

His objective has to be get us into the top 8 next season. It's grim but realistically that's what we're aiming for.

Don't understand his team selections or tactics.
Hate his refusal to play 2 wingers, the lack of width is what destroys Baines and Coleman's chances of getting forward.
Defensive play is shocking at best and worse still from set pieces.
We've lost the ability to cross a ball.
Build up play is too painfully slow and obvious.
Time for him to go.

Correct.

This was a distracting jaunt into the unknown.

Three points or a point at QPR on Sunday and the world goes back into place again.

The swings in emotion on here are hilarious and embarrassing at the same time. Grown men acting like this....I wouldn't mind, it was only on ITV4!!!
You're acting like the game didn't matter.

It was the only thing we've been playing for since September.

Are you crazy do you think 3 points against bottom of the league QPR makes everthing ok.
Did I say 'OK'?

It'll have the kneejerkers running in the opposite direction, that's for sure.

The posters on this forum cant take a consistent line on Martinez AT ALL.

It's frightening. Grown men acting like this.

Just ride out a bad season and do it with some dignity FFS.

Not too much to ask I dont think.

Everything about him tonight was unforgivable.

But that's unimportant - what's really important is everything he's done this season when taken as a whole is unforgivable.

Europe aside, we're in a relegation fight in the deep end of March. How is this acceptable to anybody?

I'm not calling for a Spurs managerial merry go round situation here - all I'm saying is that clearly this guy actually deserves to be sacked on merit.

Look, every assessment of Martinez changes from game to game.

Can you take that seriously? Everyone nods in agreement when we win that Martinez needs more time; get beat and it's SACK HIM NOW FFS!!!!

It's ridiculous. I want no part of any of that.

Yeah, it's incredibly transparent. I saw enough against Newcastle to know that we'll get plenty of wins over the remainder of the season, even moreso without the EL, and opinion will sway back in his favour.

I know mate. I think it's the fear of a merry go round that keeps me from voting in or out in these threads.

I just can't commit.

One thing is so blatantly obvious though, Everton are broken.

Absolutely. He got it massively wrong.

But you still expect your players to be above how they played tonight.

2 or 3.1 loss you can take. But 5?

I don't care about people saying Martinez doesn't work on defence. The back 4 are INTERNATIONALS and have shown this season that they can defend. To suddenly lose the ability to defend and organise is solely down to the players.
Its the players and the tactics mate.
He should have taken barry off and put gibson on at half time.
How can you cocede 5 goals with 2 defensive midfielders playing?

what two wingers would you have played tonight mate. Atsu was the only one available. Kev and Mcgeady weren't fit and lennon was cuptied. Agree with the defensive comments but Coleman was dreadful even when he got forward
