Wish some people would drop Moyes get sick of hearing about him ffs. What I will say about moyes is he got us higher in the table than martinez has, built us a solid team on less cash martinez has had and turned this club around from the mess we were in.

Martinez is a poor manager this has been proven at wigan and this season. Pardew finished 5th with Newcastle still means he's pap
Yeah your right about the pardew analogy.
In 6 seasons martinez has had 5 relegation scraps and because he comes across as a nice human being he gets away with it.

Because he's foreign and plays "attractive LOL football" If he was English and called Derek Smith he would be dumped instantly.

You want attractive football then watch the likes of Ajax under De Boer, and dare I say it the kopites under Rodgers, passing it about with pace on the wings and up top. Meanwhile I can't wait to see Naismith and Cleverly running around alot and giving 110% every game for us

Not sure I know what is better. Keeping Wigan in the EPL for so long and winning the FA Cup and setting up Swansea or Moyes getting Preston to the Playoffs. Nah I do know what is the better achievement.

People also have to take into consideration about Moyes that nearly all seasons we started off badly that by Christmas we were out of the running for any chances of 4th anyway then we always went on a great run (might have been a 'too much pressure thing'.) and finish a season quite well. This always got hopes up for the next season only to once again be over before Christmas then another good run ............basically etc etc deja vu.
I always said I would prefer a manager who would attempt to compete and had no inferior complex than a manager who would claim that top 7-8 was a massive success for a club like Everton. Under Moyes we may have stayed stable and predictable but in our heart of hearts we knew that was it....no better and probably no worse. That's OK for some fans who want to win nothing but laud our top 8 position but for some like me I would rather go down fighting looking for a solution on how to win things and not accept not having a go. With Martinez I don't think he will fall into the trap of accepting stability as success I think he will be looking for ways to win stuff. This does obviously lead to a bumpy ride but I am more than happy with that. Its going to be a Roller Coaster and I am on it rather than the 'teacup fairground ride' that we have been on for years.

Lol Wigan under martinez was no worse than everton when Moyes took over yet one was made into a top 6 club whilst the other was stuck in the bottom 6 every season and eventually relegated.

Who cares he won a cup, Mcleish won a cup against arsenal in the final you want him as manager?

Lets do the sensible thing, lets forget everything that has gone before and judge the man on the remaining 9 games.

No excuses left, no Europa games, 9 games.

Over to you Bobby, impress me.
This. Forget the polls. Forget the discussion. Forget the agendas. Forget seeing what you want to see.

He has a top 8 first team and the teams above us are in free fall. He should be able to get us into the top half.

If he wants to pick Naismith and Barry every game then fair enough. I don't care as we don't know what the attitude is behind the scenes and he may want to simply pick players that will play for him. It's only the results I will judge him by.

and Wigan players on Championship wages does eventually Championship team.
Martinez has been here 2 seasons......1st season was superb 2nd season not....not enough time in my book really

9 games left, I think we SHOULD be able to win these :

QPR, Swansea, Burnley, Villa, Sunderland

And would take a draw from these :

Southampton, United, West Ham, Spurs

Its not a case of seeing what you want to see mate, the reality is we are awful this season.
We have got a squad capable of a top 4 finish lets see what happens here on in

I mean I agree in principle, but I haven't really seen any signs this year that we don't have an inferiority complex and that we are looking for ways to win stuff.
