If the quality of player he's looking to sign is tom cleverly then no way should he get another chanceIts very unlikely that he will be sacked between now and the end of the season (at the end if we're relegated), and next season we shouldn't be in this mess, top ten atleast halfway through or then i think he'll be gone
He worked with Cleverely at Wigan and believes he will fit into his 'system' and will buy into the philosophy', so I expect that's part of his interest. If the quality of player he's looking to sign is tom cleverly then no way should he get another chance
Tom Cleverly would be a bit under whelming.
But why the certainty he is on his way in the Summer?
Like, other that he played for Wigan once.
Strangely I'm edging towards @davek here. Last season his influence was pretty successful, and were almost intoxicated by his supposed ability. The more I think about things, I do ask myself what did we expect? I mean Wigan were awful and went down, and we hired their manager!
Seems it was a big gamble really, and Kenwright got giddy thinking he would win a cup, still a possibility I suppose

He hung around like a bad smell waiting for us to do a deal in Jan.
Ah, didnt pick up on that.
The fact we didnt then gives me a littel bit of hope we wont this summer then. I mean, he is, like, ok, but that is about it.
*prays*
He won a cup but got relegated,he's not going to change his philosophy so what makes anyone believe next season would be any different to this,4 out of last 5 seasons he's been fighting relegationPeople are too fickle. Time is a luxury but Roberto deserves a real go. He has proven himself by winning a cup. He is young and still learning anQUOTEt clicks into place we will be singing his praises for a long time. And I like him.

It's easy to say with hindsight that we shouldn't have expected more when you look at his Wigan record, yet last year showed little of this.
It was a gamble that seemed to be paying off; maybe that's what makes this season and our decline even more difficult to swallow.
I sincerely hope this season is just a blip, nevertheless it's becoming more possible that that last season merely flattered him and deceived us.
Either way, I think his reputation as an upcoming manager (who'll one day manager Barca etc) is taking a pretty hefty battering.
He may have won the FA Cup with Wigan, but that coincided with relegation. He may have got us into Europe, but now we're teetering near the abyss.
It's in the Mirror mate at http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tom-cleverley-set-reject-aston-5291723
Yea, I know, it's the Mirror ffs, but it does seem to have legs.
Mate, we're signing Cleverley. He is going to be a phenomenal key part of the team and in a great moment
