Just look at what happened when Ancelotti master-minded the summer transfer activity and the effect it had on the team.

I think hes likely to stay myself, but i think a performance review wont be that straight forward, there are definitely areas he should be targeting to improve.
On the balance of everything he should probably have the opportunity to move into his own cycle, i.e. sell his own players.
If Carlo sticks around i dont see it doing much harm.

If they got shut of Brands any incoming DoF (and we hope the role is scrapped, of course) would be faced with getting shut of players brought in by Brands:

That's about £150M worth of financial waste in fees and the wages are a massive drain.
Just can't see them legging him when Carlo has stated on numerous occasions their great working relationship. Also the club after so many seasons of absolute rubbish seems to be turning the longest corner in history. For Brands to leave now would mean more upheaval,more restructuring,more bending to another DOF philosophy,who also Ancelotti may not see eye to eye with. There has obviously been conversation regarding contract talks and it's probably been agreed its probably better to leave it after the window has closed.
