Dave it is you that is deluded,. Brands was left to deal with the finances to get the signings done.

He was left to tie up the details on our major summer signings.

Where is your evidence of that? Invariably managers have little idea of the finance side when it comes to signing.

I doubt there are too many who would complain at Walsh's employment as a head scout. He did great at Leicester and he signed some decent players here.

He also signed some horrific ones.

Somene like Andy Anson. Look at his record for United clinching record deals...and I think he was at Kitbag when they gave Wyness and Elstine the runaround with that deal they made.

Silva signed Richarlison. He signed him for Watford before that.

Allan, Doucoure and James were all signings Ancelotti spoke of wanting done. He had experience of Allan and James at Madrid, Bayern and Napoli. Nkounkou is down on record as stating that Ancelotti was the reason he signed for us.

He’s probably been trying to sell this vision since he’s been here but the vision has been based on Marco Silva getting us in the cl which I think we can all agree was about as likely as VVD sending Pickford a Xmas card this year. Working under Carlo may have been the deal clincher or an opportunity to good to turn down , but that doesn’t mean brands didn’t identify , scout, recommendhim to Carlo , then negotiate with him and his agent and got the deal done does it? You also completely ignor the fact that we had been or linked to doucoure for the past year or so before Carlo even turned up yet class him as a Carlo signing ?

I dont mind her, tbh. As a person she seems decent. As a CEO? Hmmm.
