Not sure what to make of this game. They haven't been beaten at home and realistically I can't see us changing that. We're more than capable of getting a draw though.

Being slightly more unrealistic though and a win would be possible, we'd have to be on the very top of our games and dominate them a la fixture de la reverse.

We're only going to City once, but will we beat the noveau riche twice and still finish below them? At least I haven't had to pay out on my bet with a blue Manc mate just yet...

Long gone are the days when Italian football was a by word for defensive solidity. Man City's very own Italian has only pulled 2 clean sheets out of his ridiculous scarf since we took them apart at The Auld Lady back in mid-January.

Last game they played a jaded Fulham side coming off the most famous win in their history, (correct me if I'm wrong Fulham fans...Fulham....fans...'ello somethings not right there.) and they still conspired to nearly conceed a late penalty that would have leveled the match for the knackered Cockneys.

Game before that they needed a late, late equaliser themselves to avoid defeat at the Mackems. Awe inspiring form it is not, a defeat of 9 man Chelsea doesn't make them capable of top 4 and it'll be Europa for them, chop for Mancini and then the summer scramble for the next turkey getting paid a fat wedge to wait for an early Christmas.

They played Santa Cruz, Tevez and that horrible little **** all from the start against Fulham but I doubt they'll be so bold in midfield against our set up and midfield talent.

I'd like to see us line up with Osman replace Cahill and Saha in for Yak. We need to go at them just like the first game. If we do and get infront early I don't think they've got the fight to come back at us.

All that said, Gringo's Monday verdict is 2-2 draw, which they will be more grateful of than we will.

They will be massively up for this, but im confident we can get at City who havnt looked solid of late, it will be whoever takes their chances and scores the most. Certainly both will get plenty, i think this could be a Louis Saha game.

Lescott to get a red card in the 93rd minute for taking out Osman. Arteta to score the winner from the resulting penalty.

The problem there mate is two things, firstly where do you place Fellaini as on form he's formidable and secondly you have to assume that Distin or Yobo will form a partnership with Jagielka that we can depend upon, which hasn't exactly looked too likely.

Maybe we can recall Duffy from up front?

What a shocker that Lescott is injured. Picks his injured games well does this lad.

City fan here, I like Everton and think you are a very good club witha great manager and I posted here saying you outplayed us by far in the last game we played against each other however the level of bias in this post is ridiculous.

We beat Fulham away. Fulham are a dificult team to play, especially away. At the cottage they have thrashed United, Liverpool and Juventus and beaten Arsenal whilst only losing once there since Spetember.

Maybe they should of had a penalty but we dominated for seventy minutes and really should have won far more comfortably.

Hahah beating Chelsea isn't top 4 form? Then what is may I ask. And get your facts right, we took the lead when they had 11 men on the pitch and they only went down to nine men in about the 87th minute.
We went to a side who had not lost at home all season and who we had not beaten at the Bridge for 17 years and we comprehesnively thrashed them. If that isn't top four form then what is?

A point at Sunderland isn't terrible either. United drew with them and both Arsenal and Liverpool lost to them.

We wont have the fight if we go a goal down? Based on what?

We came back from a goal down at Stamford Bridge to win, Anfield to gain a point and we came back from a goal down to beat United 2-1.

Plus you are forgetting that we have not lost at home all season.

Overall it will be a very tough game for us but one we need to win. 2-1 to City.

We are playing well at the moment, and even though they have some big fellas in midfield I think we can just pass it around them.

their main strength as far as I can tell is their counter-attack. We'll have to be careful because our defenders can't match Bellamy, Wright-Philips for pace. Tevez was good against Fulham, but I've seen him kept quiet with close attention and expect the Might of Heit to do the business there.

So, can we be patient in possession, and not committ too many players forward? Not sure about the former, but the latter isn't usually a problem, I expect of the back four we should have three of them back at any given time, and Heitinga in DM to drop back too.

1-0 to Everton

If we go one down you will absolutely smash us all over the place mate. It will be an old school performance from us, quite defensive, though we'll be looking to score by breaking you down with passing rather than set pieces. Don't expect us to trouble you on the counter attack, we will look to control the game, something Arteta can do that none of your players can to the same extent in my opinion. Like I said, if you score first you will rip us up with pace, even if we have a decent amount of the ball.
