Well, we're proper awful away from home, but I would love it if we could destroy these like.

Beyond the moral satisfaction of showing them money doesn't mean nout, if we do we'll be within three points of the [Poor language removed]. And they've still got to play Chelsea.

1-0 to us I reckon. CYB.

It depends which Everton turns up. If the ace Everton turns up we'll win. If the cant string 2 passes together Everton turns up, we'll lose.
We're like Jekyll and Hyde at the minute. Not a team to stake money on.

If we play this recent slick passing and movement game that we've so suddenly become fond of, we can win this one 2-1.

Im going to say the unpopular thing here, i dont think Jonny is as good at the back as Lescott was.

*Not yet anyway.

You'd have a good point but they're different types of centre half aren't they? Lescott is agile for his size, good in the air and quick and Heitinga reads the game well, is strong and has excellent distribution.

Being totally honest, I'd prefer Heitinga because of the difference it makes having a ball playing centre half to your team, we retain possession and control the play much better. Add Jagielka alongside Heitinga and that could be some sexualness. Jagielka's passing has looked better since he returned, although he didnt have a great game yesterday.

Has to be said too, Distin looked very good yesterday.

All true mate, ill be honest and say i like my centre halves to keep clean sheets - our record has been abyssmal this season and we havent looked solid all season. Now im not putting this soley down to Jonny - with injuries blah blah, but i dont think we have looked really solid or looked like we defo wouldnt conceade with him at the back - hes no more culpable then anyone else and i would prefer he was pushed into the midfeild to be honest.

Lets be honest an extra five or six clean sheets and we would have snow on our heads!

You're dead on about the clean sheets there but I think it's massively circumstantial in that we have hardly had any centre halves fit and when we have we haven't been able to field them for a consecutive period of time.

I think if you replaced Heitinga for Lescott we'd have pretty much the same outcome this season in terms of goals conceded.

Would defo give him the benifit of the doubt and all, some of his marking in certain games concerned me though ill be honest, but he came into his own in his last five or so games back there.

Im more thinking it would be a bit of a waste to move him back, i think he would be a cracking long term defensive midfeilder, some of his positional game and discipline needs work - but thats far easily learned compared to, like you say, his controling the play, dictateing pace and the boy can play a mean pinball with his distribution, he could do serious damage in midfeild with it - like Rodwell i think it would be a bit of waste to move him back to defence.

The problem there mate is two things, firstly where do you place Fellaini as on form he's formidable and secondly you have to assume that Distin or Yobo will form a partnership with Jagielka that we can depend upon, which hasn't exactly looked too likely.

Maybe we can recall Duffy from up front?

Duffys earmarked to replace Howard! Sort it out ginger!

Nah id go after a centre half in the summer see Shawcross Ryan. As bad a press as the Yobster is getting at the mo he and Jags have proven they can keep 20 odd clean sheets a season over the past two seasons - not bad even at back up. That would be plan A and B like.

As for the big man - Id have Heitinga in behind Arteta and Fellaini - with Super Tim and Rodders in reserve doing the impact sub thing - Squad me up baby.

Good points there.

And Shawcross always impresses me but I think we wouldn't be able to afford him and I heard (or maybe dreamt it) that United have got first dibs on him as they sold him to Stoke.
