Said this on another thread but it's important so I'm gonna say it again. I hope we batter them as I hate them... I mean proper hate them

drop cahill and yak and the points are ours. yak played some good football at times yesterday but saha has the nack of scoring which yak seems to have lost. as for cahill what's happened to him, i'd play billy behind saha and bring osman in on the right.

can't wait for this.

if we start like we did against bolton we're screwed.

it all depends if everton decide to turn up, i have a feeling they won't. We played poor against bolton tho so it may be the week to play well.

I think he'll start Yakubu as he will want the ball to stick up front a bit more.

Wonder how many Citeh blerts will pop up on here before the game?

Calmed down a fair bit since they got a decent manager who's not a whopper....

Roberto Mancini has ruled Joleon Lescott out of the Blues midweek crunch match with Everton.

But the City chief has refused to dismiss the other Merseyside top flight club, Liverpool, from the race for fourth spot and the Champions League place that goes with it.

Lescott looks set to miss a highly-charged with reunion with his old teammates after injuring himself before the 2-1 win at Fulham.

The England man, who is hoping to nail down a slot in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad this summer, has been chosen as left back in a much-changed side at Craven Cottage when he tweaked his hamstring in the warm up.

He was replaced by Spaniard Javier Garrido with Micah Richards, initially a spectator, called on to the bench.

Mancini admitted after wards that the injury had been disruptive and gave Lescott little chance of recovering in time to play in the re-arranged midweek fixture.

“Joleon had a problem during the warm up with his hamstring,” revealed the manager. “For him Wednesday will be impossible. But Garrido did well as did the rest of the boys.

“We deserved to win the game but in the end we had to hold on a little. We prepared all week to attack Fulham with pace because I thought they would be tired after the win over Juventus and the players carried out the tactics perfectly; we

Sorry, he's turned proper [Poor language removed] since leaving and we made a mint off him.

When was he injured over the 2 seasons for us? I think he pretty much played every game for 2 full seasons.

Goes Citeh and is out more times than in with injuries.

Oh he was. Superb player. Its why we didnt want him to go and got big money to let him go.

But I dont think he's done well there. Dont think he's been coached right and his form has suffered to a point where its hard to see him going to the World Cup if im honest.

100% agree with you mate his performences havent been great for them and that generally with a midfeild stopper sitting in front of him. Hes the type pf player you really have to be tough with to get the best out of him, he has a tendencey to loose his focuss and take his foot of the gas without the right motivation. Thats why Moyes was so good for him.

I think he will go for nothing else bar his versatility and the lack of strength in depth in that position.

Still think he needs replaceing for us.
