Dyu know what mate I'm not. If martinez decides pienaar is fit enough to play then he's fit enough to play. Seeing as he sees the players regularly I'll trust his judgement on that one. Guarantee had he started Oviedo and he'd had a poor performance you'd be saying tha same thing about starting pienaar. Stop picking holes for the sake of it. It's just frustrates me that with some of our best starting XI players injured, the players we have to replace them, in comparison, are just dreadful. Hibbert for Coleman, Atsu/Pienaar for Mirallas, Osman for Barkley/McCarthy etc. The difference in class is huge and it is showing. Martinez needs to sort this ASAP. Few of his decisions today once again were baffling.

Thing is, we've shown poor patches and great patches in games. We have heart and desire, when that goes you need to worry, but not now.

We played 80 minutes of nothing, piss farting around with the ball, not breaking, not creating chances and not even troubling degea till around the 30th minute. Thats worrying

rewind to last year when we roled up at old Trafford, dominated possession, moving the ball round an attacking as one unit and defending as one unit

this performance today is the same as most this season

My thought is that any team, apart from perhaps City/Chelsea would suffer without Mirallas/Coleman/Barkley/McCarthy and possibly now Stones in it and having gone to the middle of Russia mid-week. It's frustrating but we keep going.

We weren't though. Check the meaning of absolute next time you're near a dictionary because you're using it wrong. We had a poor second half and a much better second half. Unlucky not to take a draw if not better

The thing is, we kinda needed to. I mean, imagine if we didn't have Barry & Hibbert to cover. Would you really have placed all your faith into browning from the start of the season? We didn't even know what he was capable of, and Hibbert/Barry will teach others a lot.

And Besic mccarthy osman & gibson our only centre midfielders? You'd have all been fuming!

Barry was an astute signing and whether or not he's declining, he's still a very good player and an experienced head amongst the squad

Obviously I would have preferred for us to make a signing at RB. I would have gone for Yedlin.

At CM I would have started Besic and McCarthy and had Gibson and Ledson as cover.

How can he sort it when so many keys players are out, those players like Hibbert, Osman and Atsu are not good enough, maybe he needs to have more faith in the young lads, start Browning from the start at least, maybe drop Howard and give Robbles anther chance. At least Besic looking like he might have a future in the first team.
