Besic was our best player by a mile. Leighton was decent but other than that there's just nothing there. All our players that actually do things with a bit of aggression going forward, Mirallas, Barks and Coleman, are out. It's a shame that a 28million pound striker isn't good enough to carry us through those kind of injuries, but we all saw enough of Rom last season to know that he probably wouldn't.

Although we were poor, we weren't horrendous and never let them run away with the game, mainly because we now actually try to play football in these fixtures rather than launch it at the first opportunity. As long as Lukaku scores fairly soon and gets into some kind of form we'll be alright.

Besic was boss in the 2nd half. I'm concerned cos it's a crap start but I do think we'll come good. I'm more worried about the amount of injuries we're getting to key players. Stick by it's naivety from Martinez to not have replacements brought in.

Cortouis going off for Cech. That's the difference in quality that we just don't have.

Has anyone scored a decent goal against us yet? Like today, the first was set up by us, I think, (good finish though) and the second was a mis-hit shot that went directly to a £50m striker ffs.

One of Cheseas was great, the last one, but we were 5-3 down, with 0 defenders on the pitch, so that doesnt count.

Obviously I would have preferred for us to make a signing at RB. I would have gone for Yedlin.

At CM I would have started Besic and McCarthy and had Gibson and Ledson as cover.

I'm not so sure. Of course, i believe in the ability of ledson and think he will do big things for us, but perhaps not just yet.

No mate. His touch can be off like but he can also do special things with his feet.

He also needs to be fed through balls to run off the defender, that's when he slots best. We've nobody to feed him with Barkley out.

We bought him to score 20 goals a season and he'll do that given time.

Yedlin played against Belgium for the US. Looked decent. But unless someones an avid MLS fan, then they won't have seen him play more than once or twice
