First post in quite a while but this nonsence warrants it to be fair.

If I remember correctly Martin O'Neil left because of the fact that he wasn't given money for new transfers and if Moyes was to go to Villa it would mean that he would have to have some dosh to build a side.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Moyes will be here this time next year.

There's only so many variations and so many times you can explain this stuff to people.

VILLA DO NOT HAVE MORE CASH THAN EVERTON. THEY'RE IN A HELL OF A STATE WITH SEVERE STRUCTURAL DEFICITS AND GROWING DEBTS (Growing at £30million a season!)

Definitions:
structural deficit = "spending more than you earn"

Debt = "borrowing money - to be paid back at a later date plus interest
"

This will go way over the head of any socialist mate.

It was more that he had to sell Milner wasn't it? Houllier flashed the cash in January anyway.

From Villas own accounts:

"Property worth £7.3m was transferred to a parent undertaking to wipe out credit notes."

Mate, Everton have sold car parks and training grounds and club shops and private homes around the ground that they owned in order to pacify their creditors....well in excess of the £7M figure you quote re Villa there. Lerner is Villa's creditor as well as owner. We all know this. If Villa are saddled with £20M debt to banks and a £7M payment to Lerner and family to pay the interest off their borrowings, they can think themselves very fortunate when considering the tens of million of pounds of debt and property sales the Everton's board of directors have racked up in 11 years.

I think its bollocks hes ideal for Everton and Everton is ideal for him.

He wont join Villa we have finished above them seven from nine seasons now , Can Moyes take Villa into the top four no i dont think he can.

Did anyone here Moyes interview on city after the match. I have to say that it didn't fill me confidence that he will be staying at Everton.
When asked about the season he said that with Evertons financial backing 7th was the best we could achieve. He said any fan that thought we could finish above 7th was crazy. He included himself as someone who earlier had felt the club could push for the top 4 but now accepted that were finishing in our optimum position. With the teams behind us strengthening in the summer he felt it would be a massive task and achievement to finish 7th again next year.

He went on to say Kenwright is a fan and great chairman. But overall it sounded like 'I have taken the club as far as i can and without serious investment I wont be able to achieve any more than I have done this year.' So I wouldn't be surprised if he left in the summer.

Not a chance.

Just signed a new deal. No way Kenwright lets him go there and that's making the huge assumption that Moyes would even consider the job.

Lateral to downward move.

Not happening.

I agree, but I just can't see what club he'd go to. For that reason, I think he'll have another season here and wait for a job to open up. He definitely has an eye on Manchester United, but I think Celtic would severely interest him too if that came around first.

He used to do this at the end of every season, it's his way of telling the board to find a few quid If they have any ambition, or find someone who can. He certainly won't want his own career to nosedive by stagnating at the club. The man lives separate from his own wife due to his ambition. That's some dedication.

Moyes is Everton through and through.

As much chance of him going to Liverpool as going to Villa.

Really? oO

There's no such thing as stagnation in football.

You develop new players you rotate your squad and you work with what you have.

Moyes is flexing his muscles with Kenwright et al. on this board.

q.v. Fergie at United. He's done the same. And he's not stagnated.
