People who call him lazy, have you ever thought how difficult it must be to run around for 90 minutes when you're as massive as he is ?

There's a reason you don't see long distance runners with physiques like Hulk Hogan. The lad weighs 14 stone plus all day long.

Few players can boast 1/2 strike records in the Premier league. Of those few players, even fewer can boast that at the age of 20. And even fewer again can say they're 6'3 man mountains. He is a gem, and anyone who can't see his potential -- never mind his use to us right now -- is, in my not so humble opinion, a proper numpty.

#straqualursi ha.

nah seriously, i don't believe he's lazy at all, has a wonderful turn of pace given his size. he was isolated a lot today, big gap between the rest of the team which regularly saw him running at a whole bank of four defenders. getting more players up in support would help him out like.

There is nothing wrong with the lad, if we signed him I'd be over the moon, get the ball to him so he can have a strike on goal and he'll do the rest.

Priority has to be Lukaku (Benteke as the fall back option if we get beat out by someone), plus someone who can actually give him decent service on the deck as right now we dont have anyone doing it. (Tadic please bob), do that and can say that spending nowt in jan was worth it

It's tosh, all this lazy talk. He's always looking for the early ball, trying to find space. He was out on the wing constantly against Arsenal the other week, which was annoying from a footballing perspective but it just shows how desperate he is to get on the ball and influence things. He's not the kind of player to just sit in front of the opposition centre halves all day waiting for a golden opportunity, he grafts.

At least 50% of this forum said no to the idea of him coming here last season mate. Sadly.

Another part overlooked about experience is knowing when to do your running, something drogba, henry and suarez have all been brilliant at judging over the years

don't think i saw him on the wing at all today which was great to see. it helped having two wingers who stuck to their respective wings, which doesn't always happen with pienaar in the team.

By the time he hits mid 20's he'll be one of the most feared strikers in Europe. There are parts of his game that need improving but that comes with age and experience.

its totally unfair that at his age he has been asked to single handily run the line for a team hoping to break into the top 4. And as stated, there are numerous occasions that a ball should be played to him due to a run he's made. The play his not quick enough for him, I want to see him running through on goal, not with his back to it waiting for support
