Yup, I thought someone would bring up Sturridge. They got very lucky there. He's the exception, not the norm and they have enough money to be able to take gambles. For me, Lukaku is a top striker, he will score goals. A bad season for him would probably be 12 or 13 goals. He's worth 20 million. Infact, if Chelsea don't want him and he has a half decent WC, I can see someone spending 30 million on him. It sucks but that's the way the market is.

You may well be right. And with FPP strictures, a big name striker signing dictates a sale of someone. That might be Torres and/or Ba mind.
I don't think Mourinho will actually be that bothered about Rom. He knows he needs a new striker but I see him going for a big name, big money swoop for someone like Falcao. Bringing back a young player from a successful loan spell at a side lower down in the same league and smoothly overseeing his transition into a 'top' team is was too subtle for that blustering twunt.
