Sadly I think the injuroes have taken a top 4 chance away from us and therefore Lukaku will join the long list of strikers who have been superb for us for half a season.

Perhaps we should only loan strikers for 6 months at a time?

Is playing time going to be important to Lukaku when it's not a world cup year though? I think he might be okay with sitting on Chelsea's bench and patiently taking his chances when he gets them in cups etc.

He has so much potential, but thats all it really is for now.

We paid 3 mill loan fee and I presume some of his wages so I'd say all in all it'd between 4-5 an educated guess anyway.

You're right when you say he's got so much potential. Wouldn't you like to see him grow and fulfil that potential with us? That partnership with Barkley could be scarily good.
He's got a 1 in 2 record for us. So whilst he's got a lot to learn he's still delivering the goods.
