The lad needs to appreciate that he's 20 and his time will come. Does he have talent? yes, Does he have the potential to be a greater talent? yes, Is He in the top 10 strikers in the world? no. Where does he imagine being a first choice striker for a top European club? He can play champions league football next year but it'll have to be for somebody like monaco. There are plenty of footballing backwaters that will give him champions league football, but if that was what he wanted he should have just stayed at Anderlecht.

The majority of the early season media buzz around Lukaku was more about Mourinhos wisdom (or lack thereof)as Chelsea couldn't buy a goal whilst he appeared to be scoring for fun. Once Chelsea started scoring (and Lukaku stopped) the circus moved on.

Sadly Romelu still thinks he' s the talk of the town when really only the Belgian press appear to be listening and only then because it's World Cup year.

See also John Heitinga, Marouanne Fellaini etc

I wouldn't pay 12 million for him now unless he can show me all the text msgs from Jose telling him to stand around and do nothing.

20 year old lad is full of himself and likes to brag. But he is no worse than lots of lads his age (even those without his talent and money) and a lot better than many - Sterling, Morisson are just two of the more obvious examples.

Think his drop in goals was as much due to tiredness (mental & physical) and defenders being able to focus a lot of attention on him since Ross and Gerri were out. Strikers are also notoriously temperamental beasts, even those at the top of the tree.

If he keeps training hard, trying on the pitch and steers clear of trouble I personally will cut him a lot of slack.

Don't think Mourinho will though - expect he'll be sold in the summer.

I hope we sign him for an undisclosed fee. That we know Bill will have bartered them down to the cheap side of sweet FA for one of the best 20 year old strikers in europe. Form is temporary, class is permanent & all that.

Probably overplayed him in the first half of the season. For a 20 year old to be pretty much your only option up front is a huge ask. I'm not surprised his form deteriorated.

Spot on. I just don't understand his thinking tbh, the lad just needs to bide his time. All he is right now is a "prospect", he hasn't exactly been pulling up trees on a consistent basis in this league yet.
