Lukaku

man city have dzeko, aguero, jovetic and negredo...works for them

Dzeko is the super sub and gets plenty of non BPL run. Jovetic is a ghost over there. Lukaku would be battling with Jovetic to make the bench.

He'd be third choice at the ****e behind Suarez and Sturridge.

He's a bit full of himself sadly. I don't besmirch his ambition one bit but he's not at the class to demand starting in a regular CL side yet. He could find time at Arsenal.

Think he needs to learn to control and strike the ball properly before he starts talking himself up like that. You can see why Mourinho let him go as he's nowhere near disciplined enough to play the role Et'o does. And he misses far too many chances to play for a top side in tight games.

He's still young, and obviously has potential and in the right system can score goals, but he's not the be all and end all. There are better strikers out there if he doesn't want to stay.

im not suggesting city, im saying they have 4 top class strikers...arsenal is a good shout, he may go abroad i suppose

I don't think he's going to be a regular starter for Chelsea in the CL and he'd probably have to move abroad if that's what he wants.

Chelsea are taking the Fair Play rules seriously and may decide to offload him to help offset a move for Cavani or Falcao.

It´s not being fickle, he hasn´t performed particulary well for a few months and he´s now sat in Belgium telling reporters how he should being playing CL football and comparing himself to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Wrong attitude to have. When things aren't going his way in a game he stops working as hard. I think we can do better.

I would love to see Lukaku at Everton...but at a certain price. There are limitations to his game and even though some of these will be ironed out of his game, some will not.
I don't think he will ever be a clever forward, I think he will always largely rely on power and pace.

When I look at the style of football we play under RM I even wonder how hard we will try to sign him in the summer.
RM likes quick clever football, movement off the ball and I feel that he may prefer a striker that offers more movement and a different style of play to Lukaku.
Ideally of course it would be great if we could have strikers that offer different qualities but our budget will limit what we can do in the market.

He is good enough. Hes not a striker who should be starting games and I think everyone who watches football knows that. Said that since day 1. Him vs tired defenders in our team would get 20+

Exactly? By 'playing him' I mean starting every game like he does for us, he's no where near the standard Chelsea need for a consistent performer who can link up with their interchanging 3 behind. He will be good enough, but he won't be a starter for Chelsea next season, no chance.

Think we have to got to remember the lad is only 20. Due to our striker shortage he has played virtually every minute of every game he has been selected for. When you consider his position (lone striker) is the most physically demanding in the league, then surely that is the reason he has looked jaded these last 2 months. Who knows this injury (which has seriously hurt us) could ultimately help lukaku in being freshed for the last 2 months of the season. If upon his return, his earlier season form hasn't returned, I think it is fair to say he won't be playing champions league football for any club, let alone us. There can be no excuses upon his return to the side.

That's a fair point. He was boss for us when he joined, despite apparently not being match fit. Here's hoping the rest has done him good and he'll be slotting like there's no tomorrow.

I'm with Tubey.

I would have thought being able to trap a bag of cement would be a given for a Champions League standard striker. Let him and his ego disappear back to the rent boys in the summer.
