Is he a decent coach? I very much doubt he will end up coaching a massive team any time soon. May as well have just got Unsworth in, least he knows the club and has had recent success.

I imagine all of us know less about his coaching abilities than MB or MS. It's their opinion that counts, not ours.

Unfortunately I think that’s about to change, they would have won any other league in Europe the way they’re playing and only a record breaking city team with a 14 game win streak could stop them. Two cl finals in two years and they only lost the last one due to two massive gk errors and an absolute world class goal from bale. Have a dreadful feeling they’re going to have great success over the next 5 or so years especially if pep ever leaves city

What’s his ability as a player got to do with his ability as a coach?

I’m not saying he’s a good coach, I’ve no idea, but Mourinho didn’t play, Wenger was crap, actually I’d say I can name very few current good managers that were particularly good players.

As I say, he might be a crap coach but who knows.
