I thought this was about racism, or is it really about politics......

If you can't distinguish that racism can't exist without bad politics then there is no wonder there are people protesting or going to the beaches in their masses during a pandemic.

This is a good watch on the issue of statues. It makes a lot of very salient points and I think is well worth watching. Yes it is based on America but the points ring true for the UK as well

As soon as he said he wanted to be a ball boy for liverpool it put me off him.
Bit of a hard one subject over monuments for instance Lincoln, seen by most as a decent Guy, but scratch the surface and look at some of his views , speeches ect on slavery and the rights of black people and it could be used to paint a very different picture,
He was in favour of re colonization of Africa by the freed slaves for instance at one time.
Think it would cause uproar if they started taking down monuments and place name after him.
Emotive subject , one to be honest can be used by either side for there own ends.

I suspect he is very pleased with the reaction it has caused and the notoriety he will gain. Hopefully he is prosecuted as much as the law allows, and then let him fall back into obscurity.

This whole situation is a farce...
Some black people rioting and looting for the sake of it, idiots like Joshua promoting positive racism (only shop in black shops)
White people trying to one up each other to show just how much they care about an issue they were happy to ignore until it was headline news...
Flag burning and statue toppling purely just to cause havoc...

I feel sorry for the peaceful, genuine protesters of all colours, religions, genders who have tried to go about this the right way, their message is being lost due to the actions of idiots
When you resort to violence your actions lose all credibility
