Confirmed by the autopsy.

That's mad! I didn't know if people were blagging about it as a crude joke or something. Poor fella

Not being flippant, but is there evidence that it doesn't? I went for a walk before, saw a blue plaque and read it; I've now researched the person out of curiosity.

It was Ronald Ross by the way who discovered that mosquitoes are involved in the transmission of malaria. I've now read more about his work - very interesting.

Would you like to know a little bit more about why people are often depicted on horses and how they're sitting and where the horse's legs can be significant?
This one?

Could be true elsewhere mind.

Will go and look up Ronald Ross sounds an interesting guy and one well worth a plaque.

Just following my last text, I mean that you have given me a proper good starting point but I'd like to know more from other sources. I read it back and it sounded like I was crapping on the bbc.
You’re probably unlikely to find a great deal of criticism of Churchill from centrists amen conservatives to be fair mate

I’ll admit my views on this have changed a lot on this since I moved to the US - a huge amount of the Confederate monuments were put up during Jim Crow and whilst ostensibly used to “teach history and honor our ancestors“ were really a non subtle “we’re still in charge” mesaage .

I'm pretty sure this is not true amongst Bristolians when seeing that statue. It is routinely taught in schools telling of the pain caused.

Cheaper than it being removed properly? Not even slightly. I bet it caused a large amount of damage when they toppled it originally, then they have dragged it along causing issues along the way, broke the railings on the dock and more than likely it will have to be craned out of the water.

Mob law should not be the law. If they want these removed how about block access to council buildings until they take it down or have agreed on a vote whether they should stay. What difference is this going to make apart from wind up people in the opposite camp? This is not the fall of Saddam Hussein.
Wind up people in the camp who want statues commemorating slave traders?

Frankly, I don’t care if they get wound up or not.

Centrists amen conservatives? What do you mean by this? Last I heard about churchill was he did boss car insurance and people liked hiw he won the war? To hear about this dark side of him is new to me and thanks to jebus for providing me with a first look at it

Im neutral on Churchill but as a leader he helped keep the world out of a killing regimes hands who had they won the war would have wiped out everyone BAME and destroyed freedom of speech.

I despair at the buffoonery of some people.

Wasn't that Russia?

It's hard to empathise with others sometimes but I wouldn't be surprised it it was people who were more upset at how it was done in spite of a recent democratic vote to keep the statue there. Could be wrong though mate
