So, you're saying the founding father of the United States should be removed? Should we do the same for the countless Roman Emperors?

What's interesting is the demographics of the people attending. Now, I'm not saying other ethnicities can't or shouldn't participate in the BME camapgin, far from it.
However, it does seem somewhat balanced in the other direction from what I can see. Is this a fair representation of Bristol?
He should be mentioned for educational purposes only. So, you're saying the founding father of the United States should be removed? Should we do the same for the countless Roman Emperors?
So, could the same be said for the Emperors? Demolish the Colosseum? People like William the Conqueror? The list could go on and on.He should be mentioned for educational purposes only.
Not that it makes any difference in the great scheme of things but in the interests of accuracy, it was a policewoman on (off) the horse.Ok it's hard to see that from the video. From my experience of protests and football, its not uncommon for police to charge horses into people, on most occasions to intimidate and disperse people. Unfortunately in this instance he rode is straight into a traffic light, so an unfortunate accident really.
These ‘thugs’ have saved the taxpayer having to foot the bill for removing his statue as they have thankfully done it free of charge.
In the river now, brilliant.

Cheaper than it being removed properly? Not even slightly. I bet it caused a large amount of damage when they toppled it originally, then they have dragged it along causing issues along the way, broke the railings on the dock and more than likely it will have to be craned out of the water.
Mob law should not be the law. If they want these removed how about block access to council buildings until they take it down or have agreed on a vote whether they should stay. What difference is this going to make apart from wind up people in the opposite camp? This is not the fall of Saddam Hussein.
