Gays don't live in safety in this country (and a fair few non-Islamic ones, besides). A family member needs a bit of reconstructive facial surgery because of this. Happened in Liverpool too, incidentally. He says it getting a lot worse too. Not long ago, in NI, they tried to bring in a 'Conscience Clause' that would effectively allowed restaurants, shops, hotels to ban gay (etc) people. Focussing on this one point to stop you referencing it as if it was not an issue here.

it's not been much of a debate because you haven't engaged on any of the points. To the complaint that islamic societies based on islamic law give rise to the subjugation of women, the persecution of gays, the assassination of heretics you say. not one word. You would rather talk about how highlighting these issues shows how bigoted I and anyone else is who points this out.I suppose your response to this list of shocking characteristics is 'yes the regimes are repressive, but it's nothing to do with islam'. is that it?

yes, I've spoken to Muslims sometimes on a daily basis. My best mate was Muslim at uni. You see, I separate out the people from the religion. The religion is causing a problem (a massive one for the west) because the islamic verses are treated as the word of god, not to be challenged under any circumstances. Anyone who tries had better watch out. This idea, what I've singled out Islam cos I don't like foreigners is so lame it's laughable. You're going to have to do better than that.

What I said is you are holding Islam to a different standard to other religions. You try and that’s wrong on perception of a religion you don’t like.

One of my cousins married into a practicing religion and talking to them regularly it’s no different to other religions.

In fact there is a Hadith where Muhammed was insulted daily by a woman as he walked past her house till one day she didn’t and he found out she was ill.

He sat with her on her death bed till she past so intolerance to Islam and how he dealt with it is what is supposed to be like but fundamentalist don’t do that which is poor education on their part.

So don’t have a go at a religion unless you hold all religions to that standard instead of bringing monty python into it.

Still don’t think you have spoken to a Muslim woman about her faith because if you did you wouldn’t have said it’s getting worse over the last 30 years.

BTW the Taliban ir ISIS do not represent the Muslim world like abusive catholic priest do not the entire faith.

There are at least 10 muslim nations off the top of my head where it is legal to be gay.

Quite how life is for them is another thing entirely.

No, I think you are a bigot because you are trying to raise these points on a thread about a man who apparently blew himself up in a taxi outside a hospital. A man who according to press reports had converted to Christianity.

Yes mate. It's very good and I agree REFORM is needed. However, to make a truly compelling argument we need the stats to prove there is an epidemic of terrorism. Any links would be much appreciated.
