I certainly do not separate out the religion from the murders carried out by people who say they are doing it in the name of Allah. That would be perverse. they are inextricably linked. You only need to see how a culture of fear runs thro0ugh our society now thanks to the events in Paris. Who now would run a cartoon of the prophet as a satire. Why not? Because they would be afraid of being murdered. Now you can say, these events have nothing to do with Islam. Even if that is true, they have a direct impact on how Islam is given special treatment through fear and intimidation.

Beautifully put. Reminds me of another old saying "Don't make decisions when you're angry". There's a lot of anger caused by these kind of events and it's easy to lose yourself in it. Sadly there's a lot of anger in this country (world?) at the moment and certain people actively pushing that anger. Our friend Kev here, in the politest way possible, needs to ask himself if he is in fact in the process of radicalisation.

There are some horrible societies across the planet. You seem fixated on ones that have some link to being Islamic. There are tons of forms of Islam, they fight among themselves about which fairy stories are the best ones. As have other religions done.

If you are lucky, you will have a belief system. If you are warped you will use that as a cloak to excuse/explain terrible behaviour. (I dont mean YOU btw).
