I don't believe my position was that no crimes have ever been committed by any religion but one. Rather that we are only talking about islamic fundamentalism because of its scale and reach. It dwarfs atrocities carried out in the name of other regions, surely we can agree that, there doesn't need to be a debate about it. And I certainly wasn't calling for one on that point. The debate I was calling for was on Islam as it exists today, and the issues it presents for western societies.

But it just doesn't. These horrible attacks, just like Charlie Hebdo etc are sold on to the public to reinforce stereotypes and create a narrative. Look into the language used like 'muslim extremist' vs 'lone gunman' if the perpetrator is white.
Compare the deaths from drones against suicide bombers in the west. Then count the children born deformed by the depleted uranium WE used against civilians, against international law, about cluster bombs and nerve gas we've used, all before you get to economic warfare.
In simple terms, for others as well, 'they' are 'us' and 'we' are 'them'.

I think most religions have somewhat evolved over time even when there is still the fundamentalists like those mad pastors in the states but Islam does have a problem with still clinging onto old school beliefs I mean look at countries like Saudi Arabia.

Islam isn't harmful in itself but sadly there isn't enough done to drag sections of it out of the stone age.

The Saudis are very much a western construct, just like evangelical and end time christianity or zionism for that matter, they all need each other to be the way they are so they can all survive and continue milking their power.

Islam or Islamic Extremism? Of course Islamic Extremism is a problem, all extremism is an issue. I would put it at the same danger level as the undercurrent of racism that is bubbling away in Western Society right now.

Regular run of the mill "modern" Islam? Nah absolutely not.

Sadly its normal for a majority to be roped into the minorities actions.

I mean when Jo Cox was murdered no one was saying Brexit Voting Right Wingers were by and large lovely folk and the fella involved was some lone nut likewise I didnt see any support going out to the strange but largely harmless Incel Community over that lad opening fire in Plymouth.

Not saying its right or wrong but the actions of a number of idiots associated with a certain group will always somewhat tarnish the name of the majority.

Its why decent Muslims in Europe need to do their best to weed out these scumbags within their communities giving them a bad name.

We can't even weed out the knobheads in the lower bullens

That undercurrent is more of a danger to us than Islamic Extremism. Several countries are tottering on the brink of a precipice that will be hard to climb out of.

Your still going on about Islam the religion. There are around 2 billion muslims in the world, so if Islam really was a problem for the west, we would probably be wiped out.

Most muslims go about their day like everyone else. Do I agree with some of their views and beliefs, far from it. I also dont agree with a lot of christian views and beliefs either.

But this is extremism. They are radicals. They are using the religion as an excuse to commit their atrocities.
