Left Back Debacle

I will lose my excrement if we haven't signed a left back by the time this window is over

It's every bit as ridiculous as what happened in the summer with a striker

I'm beginning to read it that way.

Well, 'can't afford' may be the wrong way to put it, more like 'the squad is too big now, so reduce the numbers first'.

May well be that our wage bill is too high or we have FFP issues as well - we've spent about £200m this season, and recouped about half of that

Selling lukaku & Barkley, basically gets rid of any FFP issues

I think they give us significant wiggle room on wages as they effectively mean a combined accounting profit of about £80m (STCC mean we can only increase wages by something like £5m per year unless we make money from other sources other than TV money), but I'm not sure they get rid of the FFP issue entirely

He's just another player to add to the half-a-year-out-through-injury list. To be fair that's quite short for us given recent injuries to McCarthy, Mori, Bolasie, Barkley, Coleman.
