@Zatara

And this is why you don't plan to play the academy. Proof in writing of what i failed to convince you of. Most of the aren't good enough , and this is proof of that. Ledson was next best thing for a long time, now he could leave for league 2?

But of course in your eyes we should be promoting them all and winning the league?

The first few lines of your post dont make sense, so i assume in your rush to message me you failed to formulate a cohesive sentence...

Im not sure what your post was/is trying to achieve?

I was having the conversation with zat a while ago now and he was spouting that we should promote all these young players and sign united reserves etc

It is a sad thing that the gap between reserve / academy football is so big compared to the premier league. If we were a lower league team i would imagine we would have a much bigger result of players making the step up. As it happens, you can't expect a good amount of 18 and 19 year olds to be able to move from playing their peers and learning the game to playing against some of the best in the world. imagine throwing a 18 year old defender against Ibrahimovic? Or messi? or asking a young striker who isn't suddenly the best thing ever to play against experience?

what i do appeciate from the club however is the fact we are sending these young players off to have careers which is fantastic to see. They may drop a division or 2 when they start off but no arguments we are serving them well.

No, i didnt write that at all...

I stated we should try and sign Timothy Fosu Mensah who is widely regarded as hot property and a star in the making based off his games for United last season. This was when the papers all said he was available.

For the players in Evertons youth team, I assume you dont feel that Holgate, Davies, Kenny, Connolly and Galloway are any good nor deserving of a squad place?

Interesting that when they have played for us they have done very well and not looked out of place.

One could also argue that Holgate was MOTM last game.

All jokes aside, if they are overtaken in the pecking order by other players coming through, the best thing the club can really do is cash in on them.

Shame though as he was highly regarded by the sound of it, but then again so was Lundstram! You only have to look at the likes of Jamie Milligan, Michael Branch and John Hills to realise just how much of a huge jump it must be to make a premier league player.

We keep producing the talent though, so our academy and youth set up is still performing really well.

WOW

the minute anyone ever questions you , you just try and swerve it as much as you can!

forgetting entire posts made talking about promoting players because they all looked good in those two meaningless games.

this is the second thing i have called you on in the past day and you have dismissed it like it didn't happen.

no point in saying anything further as you will deny it anyway lol

Will be really sorry to see him go on a permanent deal but can understand that it might be best if he isn't in Koeman's plans. Aside from his performances he always comes across very well in interviews and seems well liked by his teamates.

But as others have said would prefer it if there was a buyback clause as, although he seems to have lost his way a little recently, think he has both the talent and physicality to be able to make it in the premier league....might just take him a little bit longer than it originally looked like it might.

I'll be really pissed if he's sold, yes his development may have slowed down but the kid only turned 19 four days ago, how on earth can we be making the call he's no longer going to make it? He be a tiny wage and we'd really struggle to even make make a million off selling him.

I fail to see any reason to justify moving him on?!

Not sure what two meaningless games you're referring to?

I posted before that the only club Koeman has played kids has been at Feyenoord when he was forced to do so.

He only focuses on winning games rather than mid-long term.

I hope alot of the decisions on players are made by Walsh and Unsworth when it comes to u21s.
