Leaving Goodison - feelings

At the moment I am far more excited than i am sad. I cannot wait to see a new stadium, properly designed with the fans dead close to the pitch, with top quality accoustics and facilities, right on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey. It even excites me that it could (if Mersey Transport have any brains whatsover) become a new stop off point for the mersey ferries! How iconic are we going to be :)

The only thing that will crack me up and make me weep like a child is the last home game at the place, my God that will be an emotional day for many, many reasons!

From a lad with me dad to a dad with the lad and a grandad in tow .

3 generations of memories will last forever and hopefully the generations to come will get as place as fantastic as my memories were made

We have to win the Title once more before leaving Goodison.

What greater testimony to the Old Lady than the fact she becomes the only ground in England to see its team crowned champions in three different centuries.

I'm sure some will disagree, but even though I don't like the club, I genuinely feel sorry for the reasonable West Ham fans who left Upton Park thinking they'd moved to a better ground and it's turned out the way it has. It must be heartbreaking for them in football terms.

When we do eventually leave, we better hope the new Ground is worth it. I am sure it will, but as others have said, can see myself leaving in tears when the day comes.
