What an absolute horror of a film, Ben affleck is a truly awful actor

Yeah, I get what he foresaw, it's just that for every trade there's a buyer and a seller, and I couldn't fathom the motives for some of the trades. Like towards the end, the suggestion was that Bale was selling his positions - who to? Who would buy it from him?!

I should read the book. Flash Boys is a great book and explains it's theme well, so perhaps this will be the same.

From memory he's unloaded his positions to different buyers and given them very good prices...we call these 'off-market' prices which are vastly superior to the current position value (edit-superior for the buyer of course but the seller already made huge profits).

Do that and there will be unsuspecting buyers aplenty.

Casey Affleck is better

Said this a few weeks ago on this thread myself.

The only Ben Affleck film I've seen in years is Good Will Hunting and I nearly swerved that because he was in it

Seen the advert for a horror called Slenderman the other week, just looked another jumpy/slasher film

Noticed a documentary had gone online about it as well, some kids in America butchered someone and their defence was they got told to do it by the Slenderman. Going to give the doc a watch tonight

Slenderman started life as a creepypasta. Basically horror stories people make up and post online, slenderman was created and pictures made up to go with it. Seems to be the biggest hit of the creepypasta thing and has took off on its own as a result.

Thought it was absolute garbage. His voice over at the start was truly awful, and it played out like the most cliche gangster movie ever, its like they played a video game and just replicated that into a movie.

Yeah they covered all that in the documentary, never heard of him or that site at all. Was quite an interesting watch, probably could have been better and focussed on either the court case or the myth

I loved it, others hated it.

It's one of those films that divides opinion mate.

As @coollino says, depends on how much you like Tarantino .
