Manchester By The Sea - watched it last night. Really enjoyed it and Casey Affleck is superb.

Is this a hard-hitting documentary about global warming and rising sea levels in North West England?

'A big-budget movie crew descends upon a quaint New England village, sowing a bumper crop of corruption, vanity and greed in David Marnet's "State and Main"; in the days that elapse before the cameras finally roll, money will change hands, careers will be jeopardized and love will blossom in the small-town soil'.

Forget about the Baldwin or Parker, amongst many other 'named' actors but,
Philip Seymour Hoffman was in it. Enough said really.
An amusing film, that's not 'belly laugh' funny but, pokes fun at the film industry and people in general and it's just nice.

Been in the 'transfer thread', heads a bit puddled but,
'short first' = bit more complicated than that and....
it was set in Waterford, Vermont and actually shot in Manchester-by-the-Sea (quite famous now it seems).
If that's what you mean?

I was just referring to the typo on the film poster, unless it was a play on words that I'm not getting.

I took it as an accent play as opposed to typo?

How can you make a boring film with that cast ????????.

Tips a nod to the Deer Hunter and Deliverance.

But, even great performances from Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson, can't save it from being dull and uninteresting.

What a waste of talent.
