Parasite (2020) multi award winning film at the Oscars available on Amazon prime as part of package or on YouTube (for a £3.49 charge)

A South Korean film that won best picture and best director at the 2020 Oscars, which is unbelievably amazing for a foreign made film, it has to be absolutely exceptional to get anywhere remotely near beat film normally, Remember it's not best foreign language film award but THE best overall film award we're talking about here.

Radio Times gives a better description than I could...

The gulf between rich and poor is taken imaginatively to task in this flawless and consistently surprising satire from South Korea's Bong Joon-ho (Okja, Snowpiercer) that bagged four Oscars. An air of mischief pervades the film, with trickery the name of the game for the protagonists and director alike. When we're first introduced to the Kim family (with Chang Hyae Jin as mum and Song Kang-ho as dad), they're living out an impoverished but amiable existence in a squalid semi-basement flat. Their luck changes when their son (Choi Woo-sik) is recommended for a tutor post he's not actually qualified for, with a family who have more money than nous - and sensing a golden opportunity, a breathtakingly audacious con is born. Explosions of righteous anger and further ignominy await in an eventful, enjoyably farcical narrative that alternates between nail-biting suspense and wicked wit. Parasite delights in its devious set-up and savage social commentary, offering sleek stylings and devilish details. It's a wonderfully sneaky film that, before you know it, will have worked its way right under your skin.

Make a point of watching if you can, well worth it imo.

@jaycee this is good, a proper film : Only the Animals ( on Netflix)

I won’t even try to explain it, as it wouldn’t make sense, but it’s set in rural France and centres around five people whose lives become interlocked by the disappearance of a woman on a snowbound road.

Shades of Fargo, a bit of Hitchcock and a really clever film, with faultless acting.

Watched this last night after reading your post on here. Top film, and it even had the bonus of getting rid of the other half for a few hours as she cant cope with subtitled films :D

Saw two of them, Mulholland Drive and The Vast of Night, thought they were both excellent, hope that you enjoy them, I did.

I really enjoyed Monos.

Nocturnal Animals is good too, Jake Gyllenhaal is a cracking actor.
