China's largest sci-fi epic i understand....

You need serious suspension of disbelief to get past the ludicrous premise and ongoing 'casual' relationship with physics, geography, geology..., most of the characters are fairly annoying and the reward of a couple of decent set pieces isn't really worth the effort. Looks decent enough for a $50m budget.

Watched Tenet for the first time and thought it was borderline brilliant, if it wasn't so damn hard to follow and explained inversion better at the start.

Sat back to watch an old favourite in 'The Eagle Has Landed', and as it unfolds I'm thinking hang on, where are the alps? What's this stuff about Churchill? Where's Burton and Eastwood?..... ah, hang on.... that's 'Where Eagles Dare' innit.... tit.

Watched Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) last night. Still good stuff. The scene where the

little girl is shot at the ice cream van remains a horrible, shocking moment - quite a taboo broken by Carpenter there.

Always enjoyed Carpenter's scores to his films, and this one is a particular favourite.
