Last Film You Watched

Watched 'Hereditary' the other night after months of putting it off due to negative reports from other people. I thought it was an excellent movie. A slow burner, but some brilliant performances, especially Toni Collette who plays the mother. Watching her slowly fall apart was almost as hard hitting as the ending itself.
Never let negative reviews put you off seeing a film, there isn't a film in the history of cinema that people, well some people don't like. When IMBD had message boards, every film had a "worst film ever" thread.

I’ve just watched Hoffa.

1993 Biopic of Jimmy Hoofa, played by Jack Nicholson.

Really enjoyed it. Reminded me of classics like the untouchables and once upon a time in America, without being quite at their level

Do think Danny De Vito lets it down a tad. Not a slight on him as an actor or his performance but he just is not believable in that role at all.

I have recently watched "Once "and "A street cat named Bob " found them both to be heart-warming.
Someone was telling me about this the other day. Said they watch it every year and it makes them cry every time!! Think I'll give it a miss.

Mate, get a load of this:

I genuinely can't wait. It's Predator, except this time with more Nic CAAAGEEEE and jiu jitsu. I bet the studio couldn't empty their wallets quick enough
In fairness it doesn’t actually look half bad ( based on the trailer )

Frank Grillo normally puts a decent shift in too.
Wowzers. It's got Tony Jaa as well, so it'd better be good! For sure the MA will be on point. Well, except for Gage's maybe :o :o

A street cat named Bob makes you cry for the right reasons.

It’s no Marley and me.

Trying to put together a list of 5-6 movies for Halloween. It's a Saturday this year so planning on taking advantage of it by sitting on my hoop watching TV.

Looking for 4-5 essential horrors with maybe a light-hearted Halloween-themed film mixed in.

So far, i'm looking at Halloween (original), Black Christmas (original) and The Witch. Any solid recommendations? Really difficult to narrow it down.

Trick ‘R Treat - great fun horror anthology. Perfect Halloween movie (the one directed by Michael Dougherty, cos there’s probably a million movies with that title)

The Guest - not really a horror, but set on Halloween, and an October regular for me now.
