Last Film You Watched

I went to see Rocks yesterday - a film about a schoolgirl in Hackney forced to look after her little brother after their mum went off.
It employed "real" kids acting and it was excellent - moving without being mawkish and very funny in parts as when the cookery class turned into a food fight.

Ive seen this, decent realism with plenty of young first time actors, that food fight I felt sorry for the teacher haha

Watched 'Hereditary' the other night after months of putting it off due to negative reports from other people. I thought it was an excellent movie. A slow burner, but some brilliant performances, especially Toni Collette who plays the mother. Watching her slowly fall apart was almost as hard hitting as the ending itself.

I liked it. The end was a bit too much...it could have just ended more subtley and still been a decent film. I'm excited to watch Midsommar.

Watched this with kids last night - Hubie Halloween.

Great fun and I really enjoyed it.

Totally daft, but with some really great cameos.

One of those films where you can see everyone is having a hoot making it.

Watched Hubie Halloween a few nights ago and enjoyed it way more than I expected. Not a classic but amusingly daft and a really good comedy cast.

Also watched The Babysitter on Netflix. Funny schlock horror that doesn't outstay it's welcome. Good stuff.

Genuinely scary film. The feelings of pure dread I felt during that film.. never had a horror affect me like that before.

I was exactly the same with Hubie Halloween.

I ended up laughing more than the kids.

I particularly liked the running joke, that the moment he set foot outside, a deluge of rotten fruit, baseballs, basketballs etc flew past his head lol

Been to see Rebecca, brilliant adaptation from Ben Wheatley.
Never read the novel but Hitchcock's take is my favourite of his black and white films, but this isnt a remake of that, difference to some script and scenes,. Obviously the basics are the same.
2 great leads too and Mrs Danvers is super stern, great film, esp for anyone who likes period drama.

On Netflix from the middle of next week, too.
