Last Film You Watched

Saint Maud, don’t bother, save your money. Very good performance from the lead but I’ve got no idea why it’s billed as a horror film, more a descent in to serious mental health problems involving religion.

Pretty sure Mark Kermode said something along the lines of 'don't go in expecting it to be a straight up horror film', it's more in tune with something like The Babadook (which FWIW I loved) in that it's a deep insight into a fragile mind and it's decline, which in itself is quite scary.

Will hopefully get to see it at some point.

Worth watching for the astonishing special effects alone.

Pretty standard storm chasing film, filmed as found footage, quite a strong cast who aren’t really given much to do, BUT the special effects are incredible.

( particularly one sequence, when half a dozen small tornadoes join together to make one monster tornado and unleash hell )

Have you seen the trailer for Greenland? Looks like the worst Gerard Butler fights-nature-and-wins payday film and I'm 100% going to watch it

Watched 'Hereditary' the other night after months of putting it off due to negative reports from other people. I thought it was an excellent movie. A slow burner, but some brilliant performances, especially Toni Collette who plays the mother. Watching her slowly fall apart was almost as hard hitting as the ending itself.

Did you not think the ending was unintentionally hilarious lol

Bob's dead now (n)
Yes ,quite surprised to know that he played himself in the film ,I learned a lot about the plight of people who are on their uppers .
I luckily have only been short of money but for them it is far worse and this film made me realize how difficult it must be to get yourself up and how hard it is to get the chance to do it .
Luckily for me I have never needed to take drugs other than medicine and booze but it opened my eyes how sufferers are treated .He could so easily have still been there it was just luck and that surely is not the only lifeline we can give to people who need it most.
They say everything in your life changes you a little ,well this changed me a lot ,I will have more sympathy and understanding than ever now .
