Last Film You Watched

I will never come out of the cinema having watched a Wes Anderson film for the rest of my life, you can be sure of that. My missus has made me sit through enough to the point that even a glimpse of someone walking completely side-on with quirky indie music playing triggers an irrational preference for Michael Bay
Mens men in micheal bay films eh mate, very sad this

Godzilla - King of the monsters - garbage 1/10 and that was for Millie being in something other than stranger things

Girl on the third floor - watched it out of curiosity for CM Punk's acting and actually thought he was OK. Also was a decent little storyline for a horror 6/10.

Watched - the Girl on the Third Floor last night.

Reminded me very much of Wes Craven`s - the People Under the Stairs. ( from which I think it borrows quite a lot ).

It`s a bit of a strange film, as initially it`s not very good and struggles to hold your attention, but once it gets going in the final third it becomes a very effective horror film.

DM Punk doesn`t do a bad job either in his first lead role as an actor, after switching form MMA.

Yeah it was a bit hit and miss at times, seemed to be a few things it reminded me of,as you say people under the stairs,CM Punk reminded me of Ash in the Evil dead, the minister was rather like the woman out of Insidious, over all a decent if not memorable film

Ha, came into this thread to discuss this film.

You know what you’re watching isn’t anything too great but it’s a very watchable film and genuinely scary and gruesome in parts.

For what you want from a small budget horror it ticks every box.

CM Punk is surprisingly good in it as you say.

Midnight Run (1988).

A much overlooked Robert De Niro picture.

There is a great scene where De Niro visits his ex-wife's home for assistance as he flees the FBI and mob; and his daughter - who he hasn't seen for 9 years - quietly appears from the doorway. He responds with: ''You got so big". Heart-wrenching. Charles Grodin is quality as he remains handcuffed in the background; communicating with only facial gestures.

De Niro made some superb films back in the day. The Russian roulette scene in the deer hunter is right up there.
