Last Film You Watched

Haha yeh it came up with all sorts.

I'm thinking now maybe the father is abusive to the AI woman and the little daughter watches it happens every night, I think the AI gets replaced/repaired when he breaks it, then one time he goes after the girl and the AI woman suddenly becomes sentient and intervenes. Then the AI woman and daughter escape. That's all I can remember.

That terrible Spielberg movie? AI?

'The Fanatic' starring John Travolta... Produced by no other than Bill Kenwright's production company.

It's about a fan of a movie star who's a bit mentally touched in his head. He starts becoming obsessed with the movie star and it becomes a bit disturbing.

Ummmm… Wonder why Kenwright would choose to put his name on movie about a mentally disturbed fan?
o_O

Probably had 40,000 examples to work from.

Not going to ruin it for you in case you haven’t watched Jarhead yet, but the final scene and Jakes words always stuck with me for some reason.

And my favourite for Three Kings is when they’re tearing through the desert in a jeep and George is blasting one of Bach’s choral pieces (one of my favourites) on the radio!
Funny how some things stick with you, desire not having seen either movie in at least a decade! lol

Mr Jones.

From Wikipedia:

In 1933, Gareth Jones is an ambitious young journalist who has gained some renown for his interview with Adolf Hitler. Thanks to his connections to Lloyd George, the former Prime Minister, he is able to get official permission from the United Kingdom to travel to the Soviet Union. Jones intends to try and interview Stalin and find out more about the Soviet Union's economic expansion and its apparently successful five-year development plan.

Jones is restricted to Moscow, but jumps his train and travels unofficially to Ukraine to discover evidence the Holodomor, including empty villages, starving people, cannibalism, and the enforced collection of grain. On his return to the UK he struggles to get his story taken seriously. The film ends by recording that Jones died in Mongolia on a return visit to the USSR, not knowing that his guide was employed by the Soviet secret service.

A teriffic film imho.

Split - bit underwhelmed tbh, it didn’t really climax

Fine performance from Mcavoy, surprised me - I didn’t credit him as being that good
Yip... Felt the same way. I think M. Night Shyamalan has lost his touch in the last decade or so when it comes to putting decent plot 'twists' in his films.

Now you must watch Glass. It ties the whole story up into a nice ending. ;)
