Last Film You Watched

Was surprisingly OK. It would have been great if it wasn't for the tithead who directed it shoving himself in for no reason with his "hilarious" antics

Yes please
This should be good! Enjoyed both The Witch and The Lighthouse (apart from the scenes with Robert Pattinson fapping away like a manic lol).

But you can't go wron
g with a Viking adventure film.

I honestly hate him more than I hate Wes Anderson.
Wes Anderson? Really Prev? :(

Why lad?

All style, no heart. Everyone is the same character and they move either sideways or towards the camera. He's Zack Snyder for pseudo-intellectuals
Awww lad, The Life Aquatic was one of my favorite films, and how can you not love some good ol' Bill Murray? lol

Lol, I guess that's your opinion and I respect it. I can definitely see how you can relate Zack Snyder to that description.

But as bad as Zack is, I'll go one worse and throw Michael Bay into there. His movies are just horrible...

Dark Waters.

Even though I knew the story, having watched a Storyville on it a few years ago, it’s an outstanding film.

The Du Pont corporation ( Teflon ) knowingly poisoned the whole community in and around its factory in West Virginia and by default the whole world.

The film follows the investigation by a lone lawyer to uncover the truth.

Mark Ruffalo is outstanding as the lawyer.

Highly recommended.

Prev is a big jordan peterson fan and the lack of 'masculinity' in those movies offends him, he will come out of the cinema asking what happened to gone with the wind, bring that back

Saw Greed. Good fun, in that ramshackle Coogan/Winterbottom way, and David Mitchell does his... well, David Mitchell thing. But all very watchable, if a bit heavy-handed. Funny thing is, Philip Green himself is so much like a bad caricature that it's hard to send him up effectively. But if you like the previous stuff Coogan & Winterbottom have done, you'll be just fine with this.

La Belle Époque
Nothing too extraordinary, one of those feel-good films, makes you smile and doesn't require too much focus. At times I really need to see those, so was a good pick in my part.

I really liked this - one of my favourites from last year. How/where did you see it?

I will never come out of the cinema having watched a Wes Anderson film for the rest of my life, you can be sure of that. My missus has made me sit through enough to the point that even a glimpse of someone walking completely side-on with quirky indie music playing triggers an irrational preference for Michael Bay

You worry a bit when Gillian Anderson is cast in a film about UFOs. Unfounded. This was an enjoyable Saturday night watch. Something of a close encounters of the third kind for geeks feel to it...
