Lakshmi Mittal in a bid for Everton

I also don't beleive Bill would even consider a takeover approach until the move has either been granted permission or fallen through as he stands to make too much money out of the club if it gets the go ahead, and then he sells. I still beleive there are investors willing to buy the club regardless of the move... its just bill doesn't want to sell until the club's been granted permission.

Hes hardly gonna get an offer in the next week and sort out the paper work, so surely its better to wait and see where the club stands after DK. Better for him and better for us all.

Which is fair enough in my opinion!

I hardly think the goverment give a hoot about wheather we will be taken over or not in making the decison on planning, why would they howis it relevent to them?

They probably wont but i'm pretty sure that we've been adding some political pressure to those involved. Theres been plenty of comments from the board about how its basically Kirkby or bust, Wyness saying Goodison wont get a saftey certificate in the near future, investors waiting to invest... a council official who I forget the name of championing our cause (even though he works for a rival borough) etc etc.

It may not make much of a difference but it hasn't stopped the club trying it.

I think its naieve to think that political pressure hasnt been applied, especially with Tesco involved, Leahey and some of the memebrs of our Boards poilitcal connections, id say even lord granchester has a whack!

i dont think the methods youve mentioned above would hold much sway though you never know. But i beleive a lot has gone on behind the scenes which ,akes me confident the move will go through.

The truth is out there

If an investor will only invest if we move to Kirkby then i'm not sure I want them in charge anyway. They clearly wouldn't understand the feelings towards (or rather against) the move, and will be looking at it in purely financial terms, not footballing.

so if your right MR Kenwright is more concerned with his own financial gain than the clubs welfare which is not what he says erm wonder what the truth is?:(

get a grip man. A blind man could see Bill Kenwright has been nothing but good for this club. I can't understand how people can give him stick tbh.

Yeah but I'm fully sighted, so I've seen the Kings Dock waterfront/the public money that was on offer and now Kirkby as a whole/the pitiful stadium design. Therefore I protest.

is this the same bunch as the 'interest from India' thing that has been bouncing around in the last 12 months. The guy is seriously minted but not sure if we want a similar scenario to what is happening at Blackburn, last thing we need is that nobhead Shebby Singh coming in as director of football.

If I remember correctly he Indians that we have been "linked with" are the Ambani's who are the richest family in India. They're not as rich as Mittal though.

All clearly bull though either way...

I think you can accuse Bill of a lot of things, but not being committed to EFC is not one of them mate, the man lives and breathes the club, mortgaed every asset he has for the club, and was part of the team that has us where we are, i for one will always be eternally greatfull to Bill for giving hope back to pissed on evertonians of my generation! History will show what a great man he was for theic club!(y)

Cringe.
