I think you can accuse Bill of a lot of things, but not being committed to EFC is not one of them mate, the man lives and breathes the club, mortgaed every asset he has for the club, and was part of the team that has us where we are, i for one will always be eternally greatfull to Bill for giving hope back to pissed on evertonians of my generation! History will show what a great man he was for theic club!(y)

I agree 100%, he works hard and its not his fault he isnt a billionare. Hes tried to get his rich mates involved which still leaves him in charge of the club and im sure even his haters like the fact we have an Evertonian in charge of our club.

He has faults, but i think he is 100% commited to gettting whats best for Everton. Im sure at some point he has had offers, but we only have to look over the park to see how new owners sometimes DONT help.

If somebody comes along that he thinks will help the club im sure he will be happy to sell, but a lot ppl sniffing around are only interested in making money. There is only 1 Roman, you wont ever see any1 like him who is willing to spend, spend, spend and even Roman wants a return on his money.

EDIT, EDIT :

Also 1 thing about BK, he doesnt take a wage and he has mortgaged his house, he has none all he can, none of us expect him to spend every penny hes got. He isnt brash and he doesnt go shouting his mouth off about him being Chariman, whenever he talks you can hear the passion in his voice.

The progress he has made has been slow and possibly he has gone as far as his budget allows, but he has breathed life into this club and allowed us a platform to grow.

If somebody like him bought us, we wouldnt have to worry about Tescodome in Desperation Kirkby and it surely wouldnt be a condition of his buying if he was that rich......Hey, he could afford to develop Goodison no probs..... The Loop next to town in spectacular fashion ( beats " mid range " anyday ) and best of all, it would soooooo [Poor language removed] the Reds.....WAYO......!!!!!!!!
To take over a Premiership club that could be on the verge of greatness, he would drop QPR no probs. We can dream anyway......

This is the worse case of wishfull thinking. It's not going to happen so no one start writing teams with KaKa an ronaldo an villa in it please.

ffs.

I think the whole Kirkby move is the reason why these "takeover" rumours are popping up. The stadium gets the go ahead, someone will buy the club.

Ive always thought that mate, not that i am nessecarily in favour of it!(y)

Its just a case of an investor seeing a club that doesnt need anything else apart from debts paying off (which in our case are managable). They dont have to worry about a building 200mill stadium, new training grounds etc because they're already in place.

Hit the ground running to throw money at the team.

Or...

The club have leaked these rumours to put more pressure on the Government to give the scheme the go ahead. Just cause Bill came out and said that the move didn't mean there would be bids, I still wouldn't be suprised if this is just another case of the club leaking untrue information to the press to try and gain public support etc for the move.

I wouldn't read too much in to any of these rumours, just seems to convenient with the deadline looming.

it also gives grounds for a public enquiry, both the club and tesco stated in planning applications to kmbc that the board would not be selling any shares after the granting of planning. That makes the application false and fraudulent. Can't have it both ways. These stories are just ill judged PR stunts by a panicking Kenwright and it's funny most who have gone all hard on the news are the same one who decry any negative stuff printed, can't have it both ways, dream on...

Whether the rumours are true or not. If the ground moves goes ahead, there will be investment from someone somwhere -- either takeover or major shareholder etc

If an investor will only invest if we move to Kirkby then i'm not sure I want them in charge anyway. They clearly wouldn't understand the feelings towards (or rather against) the move, and will be looking at it in purely financial terms, not footballing.

I also don't beleive Bill would even consider a takeover approach until the move has either been granted permission or fallen through as he stands to make too much money out of the club if it gets the go ahead, and then he sells. I still beleive there are investors willing to buy the club regardless of the move... its just bill doesn't want to sell until the club's been granted permission.

Or maybe the ppl against have started the rumours to make the goverment think, well they only want the Stadia to sell the club and make money, they aint getting nothing.

Works both ways.

I think the only reason is lazy journos, nothing else to write about so lets make up crap.

Which is fair enough in my opinion!

I hardly think the goverment give a hoot about wheather we will be taken over or not in making the decison on planning, why would they howis it relevent to them?
