Kyle Naughton

I just hope he has good advisers, and his family dont want him to move too far. Joining Spurs would be a mistake given all the competition he would have for a starting spot. If Blackwell was serious that he thinks he could play for England at the world cup, then he needs to come to a club where he will first of all play, and second, where he will grow as a player.
Spurs are hardly a breeding ground for young developing talent.

Am I the only person in the entire world who doesn't have a source at the club? I think if you went deep into the Amazon jungle and found a tribe that has previously been totally cut off from human civilisation, that has it's own language, culture and laws based on been isolated for thousands of years, one of them would still say "Defour in January. It's been agreed - I know a guy" while tapping his nose.

Must spread rep....

I honestly think it's a good thing that Spurs have tried to hijack the deal for this reason.

They may bid more but this will give Naughton a chance to tell Sheffield United that he wants to go to Everton.

If he wants to go to Spurs (and other than London, I can't for the life of me, imagine why he'd want to go there), then so be it.

But if he wants to come to us, then he'll make it happen.

Like Danny said, he can go to Spurs and flip a coin or he can come to Everton and under Moyes and Round, pretty much guarantee an upward trajectory in his career.

The ball is in his court.

Sheff U. - lost my sympathy

I think Sheff. U has really f**ked up this Naughton deal. They agreed terms with Everton and gave green light for Moyes to talk to him. And then they suddenly pushed the red button and withdraw the permission.

Well, after this we should *never* do business with these loosers. I don't think he will end up at Everton, when was the last time Everton beat Spurs/Barcodes on a deal?:dodgy:

The acceptance of our offer is still on the SU OS, surely it would have been removed by now if they had decided to change their mind on our offer.

Some papers have Spuds matching our bid, some have them going for Walker only (and loaning him back) and some have a combined offer for both. In other words no-one really knows anything except our offer has been accepted.

I just wonder where the Echo got their info. They are the only ones saying he's been told he can't talk to us and King has been wrong plenty of times.

He's going to sign here. (y)

That's what I think as well, I have checked the Sheffield United OS and that article is still there, but no update on accepting another bid.

I just feel Sheffield United would let there fans know, when any bid was accepted for there player and there should be no difference to a bid from Spurs or Villa.

EFC's postman was actually recruited from a Royal Mail initiative (although pairing RM with initiative is a laughable concept) that led to a recruiting drive deep in the Amazon jungle. Once the language was sorted and he was taught to read scouse he was prepping mail in the L4 sorting office and then sent on his merry way with a 25kg bag of mail on his back. Bar the incident with the shrunken RS heads found in his pouch box, he has been a model postman since.

By the way, he told me yesterday that....
