Ball stuck under his feet, bullied by that big fella they had playing CB. I hope the lad develops but it simply shouldn't be with us right now, a loan to a championship or high end league 1 team would do him the world of good.

Currently he offers us very little and it's not just a knee jerk reaction i've been saying it since last season and throughout the u20's tournament. Works his socks off but doesn't add up when he gets hold of the ball.

You're supposed to progress with every game.

Apart from Dowell's performance against Twente I've seen little to settle doubts about the wisdom of releasing our two most talented and effective players.

I think we may be in trouble this season if the right signings aren't made.

Thought McCarthy did well. I see people on here questioning his commitment to Everton over Ireland but he gets the same stick here in the Irish press for the opposite reason. The lad can't win. We'd miss him if he leaves.

Tbf lads the knee jerking in here is impressive. When Sevilla come to Goodison I hope they smash us and DCL scores an OG or two just to see this place go mad. Maybe a few relegation shouts if we're lucky

Looked like the toughest workout so far. Genk looked up for it, and the heat was a test on stamina. Some nice creative play at times, good ideas that often fell apart through the fact that these players have not played together enough yet. Only to be expected.
