Koeman Not Confident On Barkley

Really? Do you think that Sandro, for example, is anyway affected by a miss-firing midfielder with four goals to his name leaving EFC?

Davies offers more and will offer more than Barkley.
Sandro is a striker and not a replacement for Barkley so I'm not sure why you used him as an example. And whilst he wouldn't be concerned at losing a player who has scored 4 goals (thought he'd scored more but cba checking) I'm sure he'd raise an eyebrow if he knew we were selling our one creative player who is a mile ahead of any other current player in assists and chances created.

Davies is a fantastic young player and I'm absolutely gobsmacked by what he has achieved this season. But he is a different type of player to Barkley and personally I don't think he'll develop into the out and out creative player you obviously believe he will. Whenever he's been played further forward by Koeman this season I think he's looked out of his comfort zone, which given his age is actually perfectly acceptable. But when he plays in the midfield 3 he has never once looked out of his depth, even against the top teams.

We have to bring in more creativity this summer, at least one player imo, but preferably more unless we keep hold of Deulofeu. If we sell Barkley too, then that's an extra. Who do you think we can realistically bring in mate?.

Some of the comments about Ross on this thread would not have looked out of place in McKenzie's article the other week.
Had McKenzie just said Barkley isn't very bright, I don't think anyone would have disagreed. I don't even believe it was veiled racism. What I do think he was doing is having a pop at Liverpool on the anniversary of Hillsborough, which shows the kind of person he is. I reckon you're being a bit harsh insinuating people are on par with that weasel just because we think Barkley is a bit thick.

If it makes you feel better, I think most English footballers are thick, which is why we don't do well at international level.

For my money this seems to be the case. Think he would do well under Poch at Spurs, although he'd have to fight for his place more than he ever has here. Would leave him nailed on for a place in future England squads too.
I agre he's been tapped up by Spurs
The only place he will be nailed on to is the bench
He will mideeek League cup games
Sunday games against bottom half teams in CL weeks
He will have Poch blowing smoke up his arse like Roberto did and he will only be a squad player

He's scored 12 this season, Ross has 15 in the last 3

Over his time at the RS he's averaged 5.

2016/2017 - 12
2015/2016 - 8
2014/2015 - 5
2013/2014 - 5
2012/2013 - 3

Ross has 8 last season, 6 this season. If he gets between 6 and 10 each season every season, he's in good company goals wise.
