that was my point. Supply and demand characteristics are different in London than they are elsewhere in UK.

I don't understand--are you saying that QPR have a larger fanbase than Everton, or that the QPR fan is willing to pay more, or that random non-supporters in London (including visitors) are more likely to pick up a QPR shirt than Everton (which, as it's not sold in London, is undeniably true)?

Mate, I know you are very enthusiastic but you are jumping at conclusions based on headline figures without really examining them in any great detail.

There's nothing in the quote above nor the links you have provided to clearly define what the profits of Newcastle United from commercial activities are. Don't get me wrong I'm not defending Everton per se, I'm just saying you are jumping to conclusions without all the facts on front of you.

How long ago was that, Welton?

It used to be Everton shirts were on sale in practically every sports shop in the British Isles but when I was in Belfast last year I looked in vain in JJB and other stores to buy a shirt for my nephew.

I started a thread about it and people from around the country were saying the same thing.

The latest I can remember buying shirts from JJB was the 08/09 season. Bought the home shirt at the start of the season and that hideous luminous yellow/green third shirt later on in the sale both from the store in Lincoln. Assuming the kitbag deal must have started after that as I don't think I ever saw our gear in there again from the next season onward..

Without intimately acquainting myself with the relative econometrics of UK urban centres, I am merely postulating that pricing points in London probably enjoy greater elasticity than in ,say Liverpool, and I'm extrapolating said postulate to its impact on absolute (not population relative) sales volumes.

Never been to Singapore. Is it similar to other places in SE Asia for fake goods? Hardly a defence of the ridiculous commercial ineptness of the club, but hopefully young fans could get some kind of shirt near the stadium?

Makes me sick my RS family/friends in the states just go to this website to get whatever personalized jersey (or other crap) they want pretty much next day mail.

Best I can do is look on eBay UK and hopefully find my size and player then get lucky if they actually ship to the states.

Not that anyone cares about all three of us Blues in Texas.

Kits are finally going to be on sale elsewhere....

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...s/everton-kitbag-announce-blues-kits-10203457

EVERTON kits will be made available in sports stores nationwide from mid-October, for the first time in six years.

The club’s strip supplier, Kitbag, has responded to one of the biggest gripes by Blues fans by announcing the sale of kits in selected JD Sports stores from later this month.

“The transfer of kits to JD Sports stores from Liverpool Airport to Manchester Airport, Aintree to Oxford Street in London, will begin this week, with kits being available to supporters from mid-October,” said a joint statement by Everton and Kitbag

The sale of Everton kits only in the two official club shops and online, has been a major bone of contention amongst many Blues fans.

In an analysis of the Kitbag deal published in the Echo in July, supporters were asked for their views.

An over-riding theme was irritation at lack of availability in stores at major travel points like airports and train stations.

Everton's Kitbag deal analysed: Good or bad for the Blues?

Everton and Kitbag: You have your say

“It annoys me when you walk into a sports retailer in your own city and see every other kit under the sun apart from your own team,” said one fan from Toxteth.

“It’s disappointing for a club in the EPL not to be able to buy shirts internationally, or even in London, other than on the internet,” said another from Australia.

While a Pontefract based supporter wrote: “I personally hate it. I walk into retail here and I can find just about any kit, except Everton. Even in London, Lillywhites stock everyone except us.”

Everton and Kitbag have now responded to those concerns.

The Blues statement added: “This season’s traditional blue home shirt, white away shirt and green third strip, all manufactured by Umbro, have proven popular since going on sale in the summer and now, to make kits more widely available, they will be on sale in Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, Gatwick Airport and London branches of the popular high-street sportswear firm.

“The shirts will remain available online at evertondirect.com and in-store at Everton One and Everton Two.”

I love that our board had an out clause for Kitbag and didnt do anything. They thought 'hey, nobody really being able to purchase our kits is a good thing!'.

Gah i despise them..

We don't need better marketing or more outlets in the UK for adult gear as a large part of our fan base regard buying and wearing a replica shirt as uncool and especially wearing it to watch Everton. We'll reach a point where we sell more adult shirts in the US than the UK.

Crap fans like @chicoazul

This will come very soon if only you could actually get the shirt in the US. I think many supporters who can't afford an annual pilgrimage and (obviously) season tickets, would gladly splash more than a reasonable amount of money on Everton gear for themselves/family.

On a related note, does anyone know how to email Everton people like the the supporter liaison or others who deal with fan issues? All sorts can be reached via twitter, but wondering if any can be approached in a more formal manner to address specific problems.
