Keeping hold of Fellaini

I understand he has ambition, but so do the rest of the team and want to play in Europe, that's why they fight for it. Like Baines, Howard & Jags, all have a decent price on their heads, we can get into Europe with a handful of signings, with or without felliani, Leon Osman played out of skin in the second half of the season, post Peanuts, I would love to see Rodwell step into Mofro's place should he leave and flourish.

It's at times like these, star players making noises about leaving.......... that the chairmen steps in, lays out the detailed plans he has to develop the club and team in the short/medium term......sells the benefits of staying to the player........

The thing is ,our chairman has no ambition for our club, one of the last times he spoke publicly was on sky sports when he said "Watch this space".Well bill were still watching.

the fact is that if any player at any club publicly announces they are better than the club that pays him big money and whose fans support him and sing his name and then he calls them sub-top, i mean what a knob

but are we in that group who challenges for CL places? no. we cannot even qualify for europa places, so where are we in the pecking order?

This is the actual original section that everyone is jumping up and down about:
Pour l'instant en tout cas, Fellaini se concentre sur Everton. Et pas question de penser à un transfert. "Non, ce n'est pas le moment. Mais une chose est sûre: je veux jouer dans une équipe qui gagne des trophées et jouer la Ligue des Champions. Everton n'est qu'une équipe du subtop."
which says:
Anyway for the moment Fellaini is concentrating on Everton. And there is no question of thinking of a transfer. "No, it's not the right time. But one thing is certain: I would like to play for a team that wins trophies and plays in the Champions League. Everton is only a sub-top team."
And by "sub-top" I would imagine that he, like most other people, thinks that Everton is under the top four (qualifiers for that particular competition).

I was Fellaini - a talented Belgian with no connections to Everton whatsoever other than being employed by them - I'd want out too. Just as if a talent like him would stick with a club going precisely nowhere fast.

But then , thats just your Happy-Go-Lucky nature though , eh , Lid ???

Either that or nowadays your only as big as ya chairman, and Felli well and truely knows this as did Demba Ba , who'd blame him for wanting out from a club who progress with both hands tied behind there backs, I'd love this to be wrong but hey ?? V
