Yeah Mirallas makes sense, but it's weird for Martinez to say something like that - specifying "any player that has been mentioned that could be leaving" - without meaning to include Stones, when he's the one most likely to leave.
It is something that he was rumoured to have done when at Barnsley - signed a new contract when he knew other teams were interested in him so that if he moved the club got the maximum amount (although 3m still seems daylight robbery even with a sell on clause). No he didn't he turn down moves and signed a contract extension with us. Then moved once he'd got everything out of playing with us that he could, he moved because he was too good for us and the league we was in

Bingo...all of this is nonsense, we'll know soon enough. Feel sorry for John, though. Not his fault he's a classy baller and now he's got stuck in the middle of Chelsea's media-driven titfest. We've played it well though and I just hope the kid's bright enough to be able to step outside the bubble he's in right now and realise it's all good. He's not on a bad path that he somehow needs to escape from, just get on with it.
The anger of Martinez's response is probably based partly on that - not a pleasant situation to put any player in let alone a young one.
At least this way the focus of the media will be more on a Roberto/Mourinho spat rather than on John himself which was the problem with some of the previous coverage even when we tried to aboid talking about it.
