Joel Robles

Was boss during that jittery spell in the 2nd half where the defenders weren't clearing their lines and he came rushing out to bollock them. Proper commanding his box like a goalkeeper should.
Made that save second half when a shirt was fired into the ground and it spun up quickly and was looping over him, but he got up there and got a strong hand to it. Howard would have been picking that out of the net...absolutely no question about it.

Not a great deal to do, but does seem a lot more imposing than Howard.
Deserves a run until the end of the season now to stake a claim for first choice next season when hopefully Tim has packed up and gone home.

Problem with that RM Robles looked like our no 1 over 12 months ago when you dropped him after three clean sheets?????

Spot on mate, I was just thinking the same thing. I want Joel to be given a proper chance so we can all see what he is really like as a keeper. As it stands no one really knows what he's like as he hasn't played enough. When he's come in he's acquitted himself really well, but we need to see more of him to reserve judgement.

If Robles does well and Maryinez brings Howard back in like he did last time, he deserves everything that's coming to him and more .

You just know he's going to be dropped as soon as Howard's back.

But I guess I'll have to learn to love it while it lasts, stay cool Joel x

Noticed him talking a lot in Spanish tonight, maybe that was the reason in Oviedo and Mori playing?
think so mate, think it's a big benefit actually, he talks spanish to the likes of funes mori and oviedo [easier for them to understand, despite speaking english] but i've heard him proper shout in English to the other players too.
