January Transfer Window 2026

IMO we should play Ndiaye on the left, yes. But Ild tell Dibling he has the shirt on the right for the rest of the season and bed that lad in properly for next season.

---Gueye----Iroegbunam
---Dibling KDH Ndiaye
---------Barry

...is not too shabby.
Garner right back?

I agree that ideally it would be Dibling to take that right wing position - the talent is there, just needs to just toughen up a bit physically and get a bit of confidence back

My shopping list would be Marcus Tavernier and Harry Wilson. For next season preferably. Both can play. both great attitudes on the pitch.
Lovely................It ain't your shopping list though is it. Your shopping list is going The ASDA ...........like the rest of us xxxx I get your vision though.......... Just cannot see them budging this window xxx

I think for this season at least, as soon as NP has been fit enough to play a large part, he’s played (ie since Sunderland). Whether through luck or otherwise I’m not sure the manager can be blamed at all for not picking an injured/not match fit player.
Not so sure, but I'm off topic.

We need another right back regardless of Patterson. I'd like for Everton to sign one.

….the anti-Moyes brigade want Dibling to play over McNeil, Moyes selects McNeil v Villa and gets a great win yet there’s still an insistence he plays Dibling.

Play McNeil at Villa and win, they complain over the selection. Play Dibling at Villa and lose & they’ll be the first ones posting after the game that Moyes should be sacked
Regardless of that, and I agree it’s an unfair criticism, what Moyes should be criticised is either 1) him failing to develop Dibling by playing him more (your point above stands) or more significantly 2) signing off on his purchase in the first place given spending 40m of what he knew our budget to be on a 19 year old seems to have been a costly mistake. I’m not anti Moyes but he should be praised when he does well and be criticised when he does not.

Amazingly, this is actually the third Friedkin window. They sat on their hands last January - perhaps understandably as they had just come in - and they failed to have their competent professionals in for the summer window, which was subsequently inadequate. And now? Window number three. We were told that this rebuild would take multiple windows. We all accepted that as bitter reality. It's very hard to take people calling for patience seriously when they don't use two of their first three windows to actually implement the rebuild...

Ever heard of context?

Last Jan write off for obvious reasons

Summer was a success, surprised anyone arguing otherwise. Yes quality of some signings could be better but big clear out and volume of signings always brought risk. Lot of signings for the future as well

This Jan not finished yet but notoriously difficult to do good value business. Hopefully we get a decent right back

Crazy to be saying that they've had three windows and nothing to show for it
