He has options where he is, he just bypasses alot of them, why would it be any different in the middle, if it's the same lads you don't really trust..
Stick him in the middle and the game through the centre will slow down.
It’s not the same … playing on the wing or full back is considered easier as you only have to worry about is on one side of you …
See his assist for Barry the other night … edge of the box .. drives into the area in tight spaces and puts the ball into a danger area …
He can operate in tight spaces …
When he gets the ball out wide he has no overlapping fullback and can either cross it , play it back or inside … no real opportunities for one twos , no shooting chances etc
It’s also easier for them to double up on him on the wing … if they do that in the middle he has the ability to draw them in and release it to someone , that creates havoc and teams do it to us all the time in the middle of the park .
Also I’d rather have him winning free kicks on the edge of their box rather then out near the touch line
